Ok, time for me to chime in. 5.4 DOHC... SOHC... 4.6? Who knows! Alot of work went into shoehorning whatever it is into the engine bay. As for the hood, well it's definately not anything I would want. However, I'm sure it took several hours to lay the glass and get the contour just right.
Get the foglight covers Luke.... GET THE COVERS! And if you happen to see anymore there, sell them on Ebay. The same foglights were used on Fox body Mustangs. So, there is a huge market for them.
Ok, thats it... I gotta look for mine! So, on top of the fuel tank or under the front seats right? I'll use a mirror and a flashlight for the hard to reach areas and hopefully(crossing fingers) I can find it somewhat intact. Although, with everything going at work it may be Sunday before I can spend time looking. However, if it's on top of the fuel tank... can you even get it with the fuel tank mounted in place?
OK, another dumb question.... But I have seen more than a few members signature lines state that they have a Taurus electric fan. What year works for a 1987 5.0 sport, how and where do I mount the temp sensor? My Wife and I go to the salvage yard a few times a month, so just tell me what to look for and where the sensor mounts ... and we are in business.
I have to agree with everyone here... A 10 second 1/4 mile run is quick! I have driven a few 12 second runs and that will get the adrenaline pumping, but 10 seconds in the 1/4 is nothing to take lightly. Things happen fast and you better have it pointed straight ahead and be in control.
As for my '87 Sport, well it's probably good for a 20 second 1/4 mile run. Maybe 19.5 with a tail wind.
I wish to help, have a very original 1987 5.0 sport coupe. Bought from the original family. Where can I look for the build sheet? Under the rear seat or the front passengar seat? The car is 90 - 95% original.
I am, it's up to 240-250 Million. They have a pool at work that was $10.00 a person. So far we have 38 people.... thats 380 chances to win. Also, the Wife and I bought $10.00 worth for ourselves.

I was at the Salvage yard last weekend and saw several GT40 explorers and other nice vehicles. What a waste! All of the C4C vehicles had bright pink spray paint all over the engines. And they had signs posted that any engine part with pink paint cant be sold. What a waste. All of this so it can be remade into a 2011 Hyundai. AARGHH!
