Oh.My.God.Terrible taste in mods v.5.4

I can see it from that point of view, but jesus christ on a crotch rocket!
For the work that's been done...to make a 'glass hood like that, why not a bit of a cowl, or a scoop, or a raised section, or whatnot?
Wouldn't have been any more work than what he's done already, correct?

To each their own though. Rest of the car is nice I think.

see thats why i want to see better pictures of this car.. if you look, the "knot" is on the left side of a cowl hood.  i also believe it's got 2 cowl hoods infact a raised section in the cowl to clear the TB etc.  he obviously had more than 1 thing to build a glass hood for...

why not run without a hood instead of getting so complicatedly ugly. too much.

Function Over Form. Enough said.

I would have left a hole in the hood or no hood going by that. Thats just me.

There was a post of some 4 eyes with hoods that formed around all the piping. I liked it. Looked deformed and demented.

good luck on that...  NOBODY has been able to fit a DOHC 5.4 into an MN12 yet.  you have to cut the shock towers just to get it in..  hell a SOHC 5.4  BARELY fits between them...

and yeah that is Butt f**k  UUUUGGGGGLLLLYYYY!!!!  i dont care if it runs 10's, it is still hideous!

i thought the OP said its a 5.4,, im not really familiar with them enough to tell.  sure looks like a 4.6

I agree with you though, really fugly.  lots of realestate if the coolant fill or washer fluid tank was relocated.

yeah it looks like a 4.6L, but it is a 5.4L...  but I also said the DOHC 5.4 wont fit, not a SOHC...  the SOHC fits fine, VERY tight, but it fits.  But it useless, unless you are using your bird to pull stumps out of the ground....

the 4.6L would actually be faster then a 5.4 in a bird....  do a search on it on TCCOA...

For all that work why not throw in a sc DOHC 4.6?

Ok, time for me to chime in. 5.4 DOHC... SOHC... 4.6? Who knows! Alot of work went into shoehorning whatever it is into the engine bay. As for the hood, well it's definately not anything I would want. However, I'm sure it took several  hours to lay the glass and get the contour just right.

Ok, you guys asked for the punishment... so heres another couple pics. The engine is a 5.4 Triton SOHC, but given the ugliness of that hood, who cares?!?

Why the hell did he use a truck blower set up, and not a Vortech for a 4.6L?  man that car is UGLY!!!

are there any more pics?  i still want to make sure 110% he's got a cowl on a cowl on that knot.  you'd think after glassing that hood pictures would be on google.
