Engine Tech / what oil do you guys use?
Quote from: Blackbird1;271325
If you have a good coating of assembly lube on the cam, you should be fine regardless. It's a good idea to brake in a new engine with conventional oil. What weight depends on the engine. I change the oil and filter after the first 100 miles or so and then again at 500. Then if you want to switch to synthetic, after the first 3000.

My understanding was the engine only needed it for a break-in period that’s why they took it out. If I recall the story correct, it was a few years ago and it was my friend’s sbc but the machine/engine shop said he had to put an additive in specifically for the cam and for break-in and its not in oil anymore. it was to Harding the cam if I remember right.

Pay no attention to the Thunderbird when the redheaded Italian comes into the picture. I think you hurt her feeling you better bring home some STP and treat her to a soapy washing.

just plugging it in isn't going to make it work. you have to turn it on as a 2nd  or primary monitor in the user control settings.

I did that and picture and video work great, but I have no audio. Audio only works out my laptop which is very low in volume. The HDMI cables are not carrying the audio or my laptop won’t let it. It’s an Inspiron 1525

Man you ask the right question at the right time.

Last night I tried doing the same I bought HDMI cable because my lap has a outlet for it and so does my 42 inch plasma, plugged it all in and no worky. The funny thing is the computer makes connection noise every time I connected and disconnected it from the back of the TV. So I know it’s connected I wonder if I need one of those converters some of you talked about.
