Body/Appearance/Interior / Aftermarket Steering Wheels
I lost the cruise when I went MAF, but if I ever do go back I have a steering wheel from an 87 Cougar with the cruise buttons. It's a chrome Grant GT with a Lincoln horn button. I wouldn't have done a GT if the horn button wasn't available. ;)

Drivetrain Tech / Trac -loc springs
??

The cross pin would have to be gone or the spring is broken for that to happen. I used a BFH and a brass punch to put mine in. FMS trak-lok.

I was always told that you can use an automatic ecm with a manual, but not vice-versa. It probably doesn't matter too much either way though. I have an A9L in mine cause it's a manual.

Lounge / Aerobird Motorsports is CLOSED, effective immediately.
wtf? What kind of lame ass douchebag threatens someone's life over thunderbird parts? This just doesn't make any sense. What makes you think this person will really carry it all the way through? Well good luck, I hope everything works out.

Well perhaps something could be coordinated.  I know I could get parts from say St. Louis to Indy with a little coordination.  The parts I'm looking for are body parts, so obviously a truck would need to be involved.

Are you up for doing a little checking on prices and perhaps grabbing a few items?  I don't want to open this up to totally overload you, but just checking to see what's possible.

Well I know it would help to have their phone number, so here's that.
(918) 875-3770. It may even be possible that they can handle mail orders, but I'm not sure.

I'm at work and school a lot, but if I'm making a trip out there I can definitely let you guys know I'm going and I can pick up some smaller parts and such. Then I could show the receipt/parts and ya'll could send a MO and I'll ship the parts? While I'm there I can get prices on the larger stuff like body parts.

I saw probably 4 or 5 Granadas and Monarchs in there, but I wasn't paying attention to the rear ends.

I have to say this is the best junk yard I have ever been to as far as selection. These aren't even all of the foxes, I know there's a 87-88 Thunderbird in there as well as a 83 Heritage. There's also some more Cougars and LTDs I didn't get to. There were also quite a few more Mustangs. It's crazy how stuff hardly rusts out here, there's stuff back to the 50s in this bone yard.

From what I've bought their prices are about average.

I can store the parts, but I have no way to transport them. Our cars consist of my Mark, a Mustang convertible and a Dodge D-50 with a blown head gasket :hick:

I went up to R&S in Moffett, Oklahoma today looking for a new power antenna for my Mark and a few other small items, and they have more Birds and Cougars than I remembered. :hick: So I snapped some pics with the camera phone. They have about 5 Mark VIIs, but only one isn't completely stripped. There's also a bunch of Fairmonts, Zephyrs, Granadas, LTDs, Marquis, and Continentals.

Engine Tech / 1992 thunderbird block/cam equivalent to 1991 stang?
I just wanna say that my 92 Thunderbird had the GT cam F1ZE when I had the engine rebuilt. The Thunderbird got the revised cam in 93 to increase low end torque as well as smooth the idle quality.

Modern Mustangs by Jim Campisano also states that the 93 Cobra used the 93 Thunderbird Cam as a way to increase low end torque to compensate for the high flowing heads and intake.

Lounge / Just found a new boneyard to check out....
Thanks, if I'm over there for anything I'll make a point to stop by there.

FYI, there's an 80-82 Thunderbird that's at R&S in Moffett, OK. IIRC it was a 302 car, it at least had a 255. There's also a 83-84 TC in there too. Both of those cars were pretty complete last time I was there which was December.
