Peaceful protest thread Reply #76 – February 19, 2015, 07:46:05 AM TC5.0 was the reason I did the first H.O swap in my car. Great help. The Kitz gets the blame for bigger cam and Mass Air. Quote Selected
Peaceful protest thread Reply #77 – February 19, 2015, 11:14:39 AM I always thought it was cute how Tom posted tons of pics of "his cars". Dude must have "owned" 20+ cars. Really dude? Quote Selected

Peaceful protest thread Reply #79 – February 19, 2015, 07:15:56 PM Well, they ARE an uptight group there. The last time I was there, I mentioned that my '84 needed a dash, and that I was considering swapping in a dash from a '94. You'd have though I just called their mothers ws, for the reactions it got. That was enough for me, I logged out, and haven't ever been back, nor will I. Plus, one of the admins there is a real work. Maybe by now it's calmed down...but if you like it there and have a great time, I'm sincerely happy. I don't think it's a good thing to roast someone for wanting to put a newer dash in an '84 3.8 car that's little more than a shell as it is. And when i bought it, it didn't have the original dash, previous owner pitched it because it was py.It's not like it was a '79 Pace Car, though I've seen several of them that are modified to beat hell...those cars must give the purists a righteous old fit. LOLIn the end, these cars are just so many hunks of metal, with a few cleverly placed screws and nuts holding the pieces together. If one of those guys wants to send me a perfect dash for a 4 eye car, I'll be glad to have you pass along my mailing addy. Quote Selected

I've always enjoyed your posts and your wit. :) Did you get the TC back in order, or how's things with that? It's still in pieces but have almost everything to complete the 331 swap, I have it in storage and plan on getting back on it when the weather breaks... For the last couple years if I did anything, was usually with the '72 Comet GT... It still need lots of little detail work but at least is licensed and moves under it's own power.. Too much time spent correcting issues like, new Holly carb that leaked every Tuesday but only if there was a southerly breeze, mismatched strut rod bushings(new kit), rattling spring perches(again new),, etc etc... I do not think any of them stirred the pot the way he did for as long as he did. If I'm not mistaken, he was a contributing factor as to why the original Tom (TurboCoupe50) has been absent.THERE'S someone I miss.I miss the original Tom too. He knew everything! Talk about a mentor. I truly miss the ez board days when there was a big group of us guys that were all figuring this stuff out and having fun. I was deployed to GTMO and chatting every day in 2003 contrary to Uncle Sams beliefs about message board usage. Quote Selected
