I plan on being @ this years CATJAM.  I will have to see what gas is then and I can tell you how much each ride will be.  LOL

Will be better than a ride at  Disney World.

Atleast I hope it will be .

What's your plans for a hood?  By the looks from that picture it seems a stocker won't work.

I have made (still working onit) a steel cowl hood.

The turbos just drain back to the oil pan.

you have done a nice job. I have little to no mechanical knowledge. I work in a Body Shop and you my friend have done a magnificent job on the paint. That Dupont Hot Hue Tango is a nice Color, I have had the privilege once of painting with it. I do alot of work with the Single and Dual stage blacks too. Did you do the airbrush work on the Eliminator lettering?

I have worked long and hard. THe old cougar I've had for 10years.
When I bought it there was 179K miles on it.
I have built my my a new house while my old car set idel for 2 years.
Then  I built the motor that is pic and installed it in the old (Black) cougar.
So now I have the time and ablity to build the new car.
I have done all the work myself  expect for the; airbrush work, trans rebuild, and the rollbar.
That helps to keep the cost lower(not cheap) just lower.
I'm 40 years old with 2 kids and it not easy. My oldest son loves to help on thecar and my wife loves cars also. THat helps a bunch.
  THanks for the kind words.

Sounds a lot like my family.  We're approaching 9 years with dad's Chevelle now (he's 45).  He has 2 kids also; me and my sis.  He has been in the heating/AC business for 25 years.  The family will help pitch in on the car, but as far as the nitty gritty work, it's mainly dad, his brother, me, and his friend who does a lot of body work and painting.  Hopefully the 383 will be in this weekend and NOT lose oil pressure this time!!!  But it sounds like you have a solid, stable household and that's increasingly rare these days.  I can only hope that I'm able to provide as well for my kids as my parents have for me.

Anyways, amazing work on the car...it's gonna be a MONSTER!!

Kingcars, Keeping a stable houshold helps.

Ethan947; Yes the intercooler is from Ebay  works Great so far

Cougrr302; No, I did NOT do the airbrush work. A buddy did the airbrush work. I can't draw a "StickMan"  or color inside the lines.

 LOL

83-88 T bird Man; You are close enough you can come and see it. I hope to make a couple trips down Hardinsburg track in MAY?  Keep your fingers crossed.

Did you mount the rotisserie to the bumper mounts?  Was wondering if they would be strong enough.  (Just spec'd out my buddy's rotisserie, just need to make the attachments.)  Like the twin turbos, too.

Greg,
I just read this whole thread and the only word that comes close to describing what you've done is unbelieveable. I couldn't have even imagined how much work that is. On top of it the way you talk about it is way cool like "I'm not a fabricator-but I'm critical" It will be awesome to see the finished product

Many kudos,
 Mike
