Looks like some kind of hard core sway bar he hasn't got around to mounting underneath.

That would be my guess as well, an adjustable rear rollbar.

You are right, Well partly. It is an ANTI ROLL BAR. It is a new design
it is made to clear tailpipes. Most of the current roll bars mount to the outer frame rails which limits the clearnece over the axel for the
tailpipes.

I will mount the roll bar to the roll bar plates in the trunk, the arms will drop thur the trunk floor and attach to the rear end.
Hopefully it will help launch the car ina straight line. Hope to find out soon.
  I'll keep you'll posted.

Man alive that car is gonna be awesome. Painting isnt exactly difficult, I gotta break out the ole airbrush, I plan on doing some custom flames on the hood of my daily. I draw in my spare time though, so it kinda comes natural. How about I paint any car you want for the rest of time for free and you build me an engine;)

I've been busting my butt trying to get the car together for the
 40th Cougar show.

I got the rest of the car painted last weekend.

Got the powdercoated rollbar welded in for good.

I have all the fuel system in and leak checked.

Got the dash back in and the wiring all connected back up.

Ran extra relay to power all asscoriers. It is feed from the battery
30 amp swithed and ran to an 8 circut fuse panel.

FIRED  THE ENGINE JUST A HOUR AGO.

Now on to finishing wet sanding and buffing.

Will try to post some pic later in the week.

Cougar86 89;  Does someone make a hood like that?

If so i would like to know "WHO"?  Is it a business.

I'm going to get this hood straight and then make a fiberglass mold
to make a fiberglass hood.
I've used about  3/4 a gallon of bondo to get the hood flat. I'm afraid it won't stay.

I will take some pic this aftenoon of the car.

 No videos yet.

I dont think anyone makes it i remember reading in a thread about someone(i think it was 1wld bird) that was going to make one or wanted to make one. I could be wrong though.:dunno:

I think you're right, RJ (1WldBrd) made a fox Cowl hood but it didn't have TC scoops, I don't think.  He made it out of 2 stock fox hoods and some welding.

I *think* i remember him saying he was going to try his replica TC scoops in that hood. Again i could very well be wrong but for some reason i recall someone wanting to do that and for some reason my memory keeps telling me it was him. :dunno:

yeah, I made one, but I haven't had time to finish it.  The scoops are welded in now and all it needs is a skim if body filler and paint it, and it is done.  I will get some pics up tomorrow for you if you would like.
