Engine Tech / Sheesh.. What now!? (idle surge prob..)
Alright.. As some of you know... My car chucked a fuel pickup at me a couple weeks ago.. Well I've replaced that... It ran great! ran being key word. Now its being a cold blooded biatch, and wont start unless I've been cranking it over for a couple minutes, and today.. It just wont kick over and start. Ive let the fuel pump prime... Im holding a good 34psi in fuel pressure... it just wont start..

Im thinking I need new plugs.. but... I wanted to debate about it.. seeing I dont even have 100 miles on these plugs.

What do you guys think?

Misc Tech / question on fuel lines.
Hey guys, as some of you know.. I had to replace the fuel pickup on my bird a couple days ago.. and while taking the old one out.. I broke a tab off of the plastic end of the pressure side of my fuel lines.

I was wondering If I could run a normal peice of high pressure rubber fuel hose instead of the plastic peice.. from the tank to the fuel filter... Because I believe thats the cause of my chronic automotive PMS.

What do you think?

Me and my buddy were contemplating somthing tonight, of all nights...


ive got a junk amp for my guitar laying around... and I was wondering if I coulc rig up the input jacks from the old amp to run through RCA wire so my and my buddy could play our basses in the parkinglot or whenever we feel like it.. you know?

2 jacks, L & R rca inlet 1 jack per inlet.

ive got 2 12's layin around... and i can get an amp cheep.. you think the amp would pick up the message from the bass enough to recollect what note I was playing? and produce sound?

Its a hair brained idea... and if you help me get it to work... I'll let ya play your guitar through it at CJ :D

Well, the story goes... I was selling the chevelle to a guy that seemed very interested in it.. he sent me some money... "Very Urgent." as at the top of all the emails he sent me.

The guy sent me $6700 in checks... and wanted me to wire the rest of the money through western union. BUT that was the flaw in his plan... My banker checked the check that I was deducting my share from... heh 45 minutes later she hands me back my savings card and politely says " Sir, I'm sorry to say this.... But you are a victim of fraud. Every one of these 5 checks this guy sent you are fake."

(blood begins to boil)

I was like, alright... I was gonna send the "Checks" back to the guy.. and the bank said they couldnt let me do that... So I jump in the bird and take off like a bat out of hell.. and get back to my house. After a little bit of deliberation on how to send an email with the least ammount of cusswords I sent him an email about how the bank told me that that checks were fraud...

then the prick gets on and tells me "Well I would never do such a thing! You just want to play around with my ""Client"" cause you said you already cashed the check..."

(ears are steaming)

Moral of this story, Theres a Fraud going around.. if you get a ginormous check for somthing have your bank check it out.

Miscellaneous For Sale/Wanted / dual 12" woofer box and single 10"
Ive got a Dual 12" woofer box, Its for a hatchback.. it has the plexiglass cover.. its not the greatest, nor the woofers that come in it... and NO, the box will not fit in a fox bird ;) allready tried. all in the box with half-working lights, everything comes $70 takes this monstrosity.  its rather heavy..and if you dont want the woofers... $50 takes the box itself..






then i have this little single 10" woofer box.

Flip me $30 and its yours.

Drivetrain Tech / hard shifting?
i know its my TV cable thats the culprit.. it shifts from 1st to drive easily... OD shifts into at about 45 but it clunks  runs healthy, just doesnt shift quite right.

Allright, heres the scenario.

I put my 66 Chevelle on ebay a couple months ago. and I got a guy thats very interested in it.
It has a sandblasted frame
Rust free doors,fenders, hood, trunklid, full interior not the best shape but its all there, no motor and comes with a 4-speed.

it has 2 extra 10-bolt GM axels, an extra set of rallye rims, new rear window, shiznitloads of extra trim peices, complete nose.... only down fall is the floor is rusty and the RR quarter is wrinkled..

the guy put an offer of 1500 on the table... granted thats a far cry from what im asking.. then he hinted that he had 2 chevy 1500's a longbed that runs and has a title... but has a tweaked bed.. and a shortbed with no title... the longbed runs... and i want to convert all the  from the longbed over to the shortbed frame that he wants to trade...

he thinks hes getting jipped... as the title says... what do you think?
