it could be so many different things that without hearing it you can guess all day. take to someone who would know and just ask them to listen. thats your best bet.

Engine Swapping / 351w engines
their are two versions of the cleveland engine. 351 cleveland U.S.A. and the austrailan verson. then the 351windsor , and 351 modified later the 400 the cleveland and windsor have same bell housing pattern. ran them both in the stock car. 351m & 400 are junk motors execept for d.d. i have a 351w in my 83 t-bird. had to make my own frame mounts(as 83 didn't come with a v-8) and used early 60's motor mounts sligthly modified. have some pic.

i don't know a whole lot ,but i do think i'm right on this. it can't be a turbo coupe and have a 5.0 motor. turbo coupes were 2300 4 cylinders. yes or no .

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / gear
ford stock only goes to 21 teeth,after market does 23 ,i'm not sure about 22.i running a 1979 lincoln aod. ,a 3:43  8.8"and 15 " rims. i am 7 mph fast @ 55 mph and have a 21 tooth gear in it. i figure 1 tooth will slow it down to be right.
