rims are dirty thats about it. like i said centers still need some work. digital camera was dropped yesterday(thanks dear) can't get my old one to install at work so will try to add more pic's from home later
it's been great all of you have helped a lot. With the death of the 87LX i have to move on. Just purchased a 97 XR7 so i'll be moving to the tccoa boards i guess.
4 16 pony rims, 4 good year weather handlers, 4 pony caps with mustang emblem removed and hole filled. (still need some hand work with body filler and sand paper to finish) rims weigh in at 45 pounds seach with tires mounted. tires are less than 200 miles paid over $400.00 for tires and $300 for rims. can ship this order to a commercail address (body shop business etc) for around 70.00 most anywhere in the US (except Al and Hi) 1 want $550.00 for the set. If they don't go here they'll be on e-bay in a week. i've pictured the only blem on the set
some of the TPS switchs have a very minor adjustment. the 2 screws at the top are seated in elongated holes. loosen these screws and slowy rotate switch while reading voltage with standard volt meter. the shop manual has the recommeded voltage for the throttle fully closed and fully opened. i beleive on my car it was .9 volt closed and 1.5 volts open. as you can see with such small varitions good solid and clean conectins are a must hope this helps walt
check voltage ranges on TPS sometimes they get a little high so computer can't find the right place for the throttle plates. new switch is cheap enough also check the connetor and for pinched wires. this may give a low voltage signal. Also try this. Diconnect the battery (clears the codes in computer) remove air intake hose throughly clean air horn and both sides of throttle plate with a brush and carb cleaner. Pay attention to the small holes on the leading edge make sure they are not clogged. After reconnecting the battery it make take few days for the adapative strategy in the computer to balance everything but it should take care of any surging idle problem if the TPS is ok
update he washiznit by a truck. Pulled out from an obstructed veiw stop sign in a residentail area the guy was flying. My kid mis-judged his traffic gap and got creamed. quick question though as we will be sharing the next car also i need something with enough headroom for a 6'6" teenager who is still growing. I modified the seat tracks on the bird for leg room, he had enough head room. Looked at an LSC MKVIII and his head hit the roof. anyone every lower a seat? Any other tall drivers out thre have any suggestions
may have foud a deal on an 95 lsc mkVIII $3000 and medium milage 89,000. Same deal as the 95 birds or did they get the better engine early as usual thanks

I will post in parts for sale. if anyone needs anything from an 87 lx wiht maroon interior let me know
46 here. wanted an 87 since the first day they came out. Finally got mine about 5 years ago. Insurance rates are really high with teen age drivers so i gave/lent the car to my daughter and started riding the MC to work every day. She screwed the car up so bad i took it off the road and bought here a mini-van ha that fixed here (not really) my son started driving last fall so i pulled the bird out went through it and now i'm sharing with him till he's done high school. Learning alot about fixing these things. This board has really help with the long range plans. Starting to acspoogelate parts for the big day when its all mine again. 8.8 rear 5.0 h.o. new seats so far. thinking of a turbo kit to fit the 5.0
puller the liquid line again. sent the brake cleana through it both ways with air line. hooked up system sucked it dry then did the r-134 conversion. freon/r12 mix is to hard to get only two wholesalers in county handle it now. Well all done friday around 4:00 pm drove car all weekend. with the EATC set at 60 you can hang meet in the car i mean like BRRRRRRRR!! another problem cropped up though A/C won't kick on is i set the EATC at above 75 degreee no matter what the outside temp is. could i have a bad ambient temp sensor? or is there something else i need to check.
