The '80 XR-7... Reply #256 – October 07, 2007, 08:09:43 PM Where do you keep finding those sweet seats? :)Looking good. Man I need a car to work on........ Quote Selected
The '80 XR-7... Reply #257 – October 07, 2007, 08:32:38 PM The seats are out of some Honda I think. Not sure. I got them cheap (VERY cheap) and they are light. I want the Recaros in the car, but the funds aren't there at the moment to invest in recovering them, so these will have to do. Quote Selected

The '80 XR-7... Reply #260 – October 08, 2007, 11:37:47 PM Well I replaced the leaky fuel pump today. It "should" have been a straight-forward job, but in all their wisdom, the engineers decided to attach one bolt for an accessory bracket support brace over one of the fuel pump bolts. Took about twice as long as it should have. The car is much happier now though. If only it had working brakes :p Quote Selected

I think I'll wait until I get the 4-wheel disks installed I can still work on the other seat bracket, cleaning up the interior and get the carpet in it.I'm going to hold off for just a bit on the full-length in-floor SFCs. I have some other things I need to get done on other projects before I cut the floor out of this thing. (Like get the head back on the silver car) Quote Selected
The '80 XR-7... Reply #263 – October 09, 2007, 11:16:16 AM The seat looks great. Need to get those brakes working. I know how it is so many things to do so little time to do it. Need to strip the interior of my 84 and start on the body work. Quote Selected
The '80 XR-7... Reply #264 – October 14, 2007, 11:36:19 AM OK, more work the past couple of days.I modded the shifter to make it a little shorter and easier to reachHere's a couple pics of the seat adapter brackets I madeI also got motivated and installed the new carpet and went ahead and dropped in the seats. The carpet is an ACC piece. Not too bad. The cuts at the front by the kick panels are a little off.The console is just sitting in place at the moment as I need to sort the shifter boot situation out and mod the front of it to make a clean install.I need to hunt down the proper color headliner material and I can get that back in as well and put all the pieces back in place.
