maybe I shoulda bought the evtm instead of the wiring schematics.  At this point I'm seriously comtemplating starting the hell over

Have you considered an aftermarket wiring harness?  Would that be compatible or legal with your goals?

You should be able to split your efi harness from your dash harness pretty easily.  I have an 87 evtm i could scan stuff from if that helps.  Send me a PM if your interested.
My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.

I don't know where i've been, but I just got caught up on your recent progress.  I can't wait to see some pics/vids of this thing tearing it up!  You will really shock some people with this car.

yay, another setback.  I bought the wrong master cylinder thinking everybody just swapped to a 03/04 gt/cobra master, but the mounts are like 80* from the normal horizontal position.  Anybody right off hand know which master I need for the complete cobra brake upgrade?

Sounds like you got the hydroboost MC, which is to say there is no easy answer.  You'll probably need to try a few MCs to see what you like.  For all factory choices, bore sizes range from 7/8" - 17/16", IIRC.

After a couple of tries, I settled on a Raybestos MC390125 (Wagner F129290).  Keep in mind that I removed the factory booster in antition of needing the room so am running this in a manual setup.  After some intake mock-ups, it looks like I'll have the room to use a booster, so I may or may not keep that MC once I see how the booster and MC play together.

I am runnin a 15/16" 95 cobra master. I like the pedal feel, but many guys prefer a 1" bore. The standard V6/GT master is 1 1/16" and was too firm for my liking at all.

Yeah, can't believe how expensive those boosters are. I need one from a 93 GT, it's ~ $120!  I went with an 80's crown vic master with the big bore and it definitely increased pedal stiffness.

P.S. Don't talk to me about setbacks, I just had my 5-Speed installed with the wrong flywheel! *Sigh* Should be fixed by this weekend, in time for a shakedown before heading to Vegas.

yeah, not only did I get the wrong master, I got the wrong booster too.  Even with the right booster and right master, I'm going to be lucky to get it to fit with my rotated intake I think.  It'll be close for sure!

Got the first door done today and initial test fit is good.  we'll see once I put the fender back on.

I do have a question for everybody though.  Would you guys look at me weird if I put bride seats in it?  specifically these or their black counterpart  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-BRIDE-VIOS-Black-Gradation-RACING-SEATS-Silver-Backs-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1c16dd478dQQitemZ120642684813QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

So far, these look the most comfortable of all the seats I've looked at, and they are the right price, but not so sure about them having the bride name in a american car.  I guess it really doesnt matter if they work good.

time for an update since its been a while.  Been busy on this thing and kept forgetting my camera, lol.
Started getting torn down for round 2 of sandblasting and paint.

Got a brake booster and master cylinder that fits (throttle cable I bought is about a 1/2" too short

Hmm, bare metal!

Wiring connections to engine (yes they are computer connectors, but they have a high enough amp rating to be able to handle it.)  This should make it easy to change head gaskets quick because I can just unplug it off the firewall and not have to deal with the other connectors

In case you haven't thought about it, some bulkhead connectors would probably make your life easier
