The CP autox bird Reply #60 – January 20, 2011, 09:44:40 PM Think I have the suspension done other than the shorter 86 tbird a-arms. I'll change those later, so on to some rust repair!and corner light and moulding hole deletes Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #61 – January 21, 2011, 07:06:28 AM Very nice work. I'd love to stiffen up the Sport's chassis one day. Maybe a project after the seats get recovered. What engine will you be using? Quote Selected

The CP autox bird Reply #67 – February 06, 2011, 09:22:13 AM Quote from: t3skidoo;3520183) any idea how much the lid reinforcements weigh?^^This, and what is your front bumper made of?? Mine is fiberglass and I dont remember it weighing anywhere near 25lbs before I started cuttin on it. I think it was like 14lbs and I lost 1 or 1.5lbs with the holes, and left off the nose portion for another 2.I seriously considered ditching the whole setup and building sumthin from aluminum to replace the bumper and the absorbers. I decided against it since I still drive the car on the street. If this is gonna be a track only car, you might wanna weigh one of the absorbers, IIRC they are quite heavy. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #68 – February 06, 2011, 01:17:58 PM I'm using an 86 front end on this car which is why the bumper is steel. Hadn't really considered taking off the absorbers. I am hoping to occasionally drive it on the street I did the shock tower reinforcements from advise, but all the setups I could find were in cars with cages(mustang) and they all tied into the cages. I'm hoping this will work almost as good.I think I got 4# off the trunk lid. Didn't wheigh what I got off the hood, but probably 6-8#. Definately weakened it up a bit Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #69 – February 06, 2011, 04:06:23 PM Gotcha. Did ya do all that cuttin with a plasma? Thats alot of cuttin otherwise! Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #70 – February 06, 2011, 05:41:33 PM yep, took longer to lay them all out with a soapstone than it did to cut it out!I weighed the hood bracing this afternoon, and that was 6# Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #71 – February 09, 2011, 10:55:21 PM got the front end fitting pretty good. Bumper cover is a little misshapen causing it to pull the fenders in and make the header not fit quite right. Hopefully it will reshape itself while being on there. Also got some tires mounted  I hate wiring!!!!!!!!!!Not exactly sure what this is Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #73 – February 10, 2011, 04:41:22 PM Welcome to my world, haha! That is the "lamp out warning module," pictured on pg135 in my 87 EVTM. Had to look it up. I knew i removed mine, but couldnt remember exactly what it was since I removed so much stuff from the dash! Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #74 – February 10, 2011, 05:42:57 PM maybe I shoulda bought the evtm instead of the wiring schematics. At this point I'm seriously comtemplating starting the hell over Quote Selected
