if i tee'd two sections of tube together the air would hafta make a hard 90. from what i understand, air doesnt like that. my short radius is pretty hard as it is right now, not that i know anything manifold design....im just building to my packaging restraints for the time being.

i wont know if the wickers i built over the scoops do anything until i can drive it.

Like I mentioned earlier, I'm certainly not an expert on aerodynamics, but I've read and have been told that air has a way of sometimes smoothing out the bumps.  For example, a closed tailgate doesn't create drag for the pickup truck.  I didn't know if there's method behind the madness or madness behind the method.

Have you posted pics of those?

Yeah, okay, the idea is for the lip on each piece to cause a venturi effect?

Are you planning on building a anything to route the air to them, or is the idea to clear the engine compartment?

the lip(wicker) should produce a low pressure over the opening if the aero from the nose/hood doesnt push the air right past the wickers to begin with. no ducting, just lookin for alternate uses of the holes in the hood from the TMIC.

if they work, so be it. if not ill find a smooth hood.

Okay, thanks.

Are you planning on building anything around the IC?

here is some more intake work. welded the bottom  on and tacked on the TB  for another test fit.

it is comin along nicely. i am thinkin about runnin a bead along the inside edge so i can sand it all smooth. still need to finish weld the TB , add some vacuum ports, and weld on a couple tabs before i can call it done.

and heres a couple shots of my youngest gear head, he turned one last month.

It'll be cool to see this thing finally running around.

I like the cooling ducts.  I need to look at something along those lines as well...eventually :p

youre tellin me! its gettin soooo close...

intake is DONE! installed and plumbed. all i need to do is get a couple 5/32" t's for a couple vacuum lines and extend the TPS and IAC wires.
i think i will add an additional throttle return spring; the cruise lever looks like a perfect spot to attach it.

next up, IC to TB tube...the list is shrinking. :mullet:

nope. ive got three of these, and none others. at least until i get my head ported, i see no need to change the TB.
