That was a real trunk key in the lock. it had a plastic tag on it.  I didn't know they had plastic emergency keys.

I should have recognized that plastic tag. I used to cut key that had the blanks attached to them.

There were some dealers and car manufacturers that offered credit card or plastic emergency keys that fit in your wallet.

Today's pics... I just set them there until tomorrow when they get bolted on.










Side trim that connects to the bumpers. I did both fronts in case I change my mind about the cornering lamps.


And finally... the mirrors. The last part that needed to be painted. I went with the body color instead of the matte black look that was originally on these mirrors. Maybe one day I'll find a perfect set of chrome mirrors. But I really wanted them to match the paint right now.




So there it is...... The car is totally painted, and ready to get put back together.
Of course I'll have pics of it back together... Don't you worry

Looks like my basp00get, shipping boxes and parts everywhere. You need to put the wheels on soon to make it right,oh yeh and a drive train. Looking good.

She didn't expect it to look that perfect after all the welding I did on it. She's into the hotrod/muscle car thing, and I made it look very 80s muscle car.. She said she would drive it if I took it to the track, which I agreed because I would like to see it run without actually being in it.

I'm bolting the rest of the car together today (i think)
