:whatever: BS!
The only thing "Dealer Installed" is the fact that the mechanics at a dealership did the work..

"Factory Installed" would imply BEFORE delivery

The car is a 87
The engine is a USED 91
it was not delivered that way with a factory warranty. (dealer installed options like you are implying do not void factory warranty's)
To swap an engine to something that was not an option on the car 4 years later is just that.. an engine swap to NON Original
it is not a Dealer Installed option.

They ruined a 5000 mile car and made it just another 50 swapped TC.
In VERY good shape.

Hahaha... wow, didn't even make the connection that the motor is a 91 when the car is an 87... doh.

Well I DID say dealer installed, NOT factory installed, which would mean that a DEALER INSTALLED IT!!!  Hmmm...and you proved my point.  Thanks!

And how would you explain all the Ford documentation on it?  Oh, it must of been Joe Shmoe that installed it...

Like I said, go find me another pristine TC with a DEALER INSTALLED 5.0 HO in it.  Come back when you find it.

Looks good but probably should have been preserved in factory condition.

Actually since you want to pursue it.. I was going by what you said that it was even installed by the dealer. Where exactly do you read  "DEALER INSTALLED" ?
it says
"and all the powertrain conversion documentation"
but it does not say the "dealer did the conversion".

I cant find that info

Reguardless of who did it, it's f*ckin amazing. Easialy the most badass Bird I've seen in "stock" form. I mean you could jerk it to half the pictures in the sale add. We can bicker back and forth all night, it's in the end a " stock aprering" 5.0 HO TC

I would definatly pay more for the sound of a 5.0L then a four banger, so that car would be perfect.  the best part is it has got the power and sound now to match the looks.  because bone stock?  The TC is anything but fast.  that car looks factory stock, to somebody that wouldn't know anybetter, but probably moves out nicely to boot.

And who really cares who did the coversion.  They did a kick ass job, and took the time to make it look right.  Koodos to them.  most tc swapped 5.0Ls look hacked that I have seen, that looks factory.

nice job.  and nice job guys, make another thread with more then 4 pages of bitching again. man you guys need to get off your asses and go out and work on your cars once in awhile, so that way you have something to do other then bitch and critisize others cars and mods to them.

i want to know wheres the original 4banger and tranny they have the exhaust system for it uncut. and if they are going through the trouble of saving an OIL filter then wheres the 4banger? lol. nice car either way. id rock the 5.0 or 2.3t so the guy did a dealer option that ford never offered. big woop still a nice car you can not knock the car for the swap done the correct way.
trick flow street heat intake , 24lbs injetors, ported GT-40's (Chip) long tube headers. and a Performance Automatic C4, with a hurst shifter!

You all can use the term dealer installed all you want, but that doesn't change the vin tag. Just like a thousand other swapped TC's, but in perfect condintion.

Remove the TC emblems, because it's not one anymore.

I know you can buy those stickers to replace ones that are messed up. Check your loacal body shop. I bet they can tell you where to get those stickers so you can look dealer installed too. Thats a lovely car that I would like to meet the owner so I could give him a nice fist to the face for what he as done to such a nice turbo coupe. I guess that if I built a orignial T-bird and put a 350 in it you all would just love that! Yeah right you all would want to shoot me for doing such a thing. So my point is yes it is nice but everything that they did to keep it clean and doucumented means nothing with out the 2.3T in there. I would like to see what this car woulod go for at a Barret Jakson auction with all of those dealer done mods.
84 Turbo coupe 2.3T Modded with 88 upper and lower intake, 88 injectors, E6 manifold, T3-4 AR.60 turbo, 31X12X3 FMIC, Homemade MBC , Greddy knock off BPV.
4 eyes see better than 2!
Da Bird!

As for the sticker I seen some amazing things with Photo shop also. But I have never seen a dealer option done with used parts.

I wouldn't want to hit the guy.. to each his own, it's his choice. And there is no doubt it's a VERY nice ride. So not cutting the car down any, if this is how the guy wanted to spend his cash great, (I got a guy at work that nearly is having an aneurysm because I bought tires and wheels for my Bird instead of selling it and buying a Subaru lol.)
My point is just like ipsd says in the rest of this post. To take a car that is that nice, that low miles, that unrestored CLEAN and butcher it to something other that stock is a shame. Bids are at $7450, thats penuts.
Totally stock, 5000 miles, at Barret Jackson, would take easly 5 times that amount. possably 10 times.
But again.. his cash, let him spend it how he wants.

do you guys even remember what kind of car this is?  it is an '87-'88 t bird not a '57.  these cars a WORTHLESS no matter what the mileage or whether it is stock or modified.  PERIOD!  7500+ is an amazing price for one of these cars.  now MAYBE in 10 or 15 more years it MIGHT be worth more then a few bucks at barret jackson, but get real and wake up guys.
and IPSD your an idiot, plane and simple.  Saying you would hit the guy for pulling off that nice of a swap, with HIS CAR?!?  whatever buddy.  You would probably wind up in the hospital for it.  AND you are triing to compare apples to oranges with this car, you keep bringing up a chevy swap and saying we would hate on it.  Of course you are right there!  now if you had the brains to say "351W"  instead of 350, you would be hard pressed to find ANYBODY on here that would dis it.  Grow up!  all you do is dis everybodies car on here, for one thing or another that you dont like.  Must be jealousy or something.
