1wld brd I'm an idot! WTF ever. Have you done the math to find out how much air is gonna come through that hole you put in your fender. Looks good but do you have any proof that is won't be a restriction. Also putting a 302 in a turbo coupe in my eyes is the same as 350 in any ford. I guess I'm just a turbo coupe lover at heart. So if you think I'm and idiot go ahead. I won't tell you what I think of you. If that turbo coupe was my car I'd swap the 2.3t back in there and make it worth more. I guess you've never seen a Barrett Jackson Auction. I saw a pinto go for $25,000.00 on there and that is a pinto. So I guess a all orignial Turbo coupe would go for way more than the $7500.00 that that car is up to. Besides 1WLDBRD you are just pissed because I was the one that pointed out that I don't think you will get enough air through you fender vent to make a real ram air effective. I wasn't doging on your car just pointing out that it might not work so well. Oh well I guess I should just let you do what ever you want even if it does you more harm than good. OH well have fun.

As for the scoop, it is mainly for looks, but trust me, it will be SUCKING air through it soon enough.  and no it wont be a restriction.  not too concerned about how much it rams in.  But you just proved my point, as you are comparing apples to oranges again, a pinto is NOT a fox t-bird, so of course the prices are going to be reflective of that, Pintos are now considered classics, these car are just classic rust buckets.  And no, I've never seen a BJ auction,  I have yet to see a TC go over the block yet though.  Doubt a prestine one will fetch much more then $10K IF that, there.

As for the 9 TCs fetching $10K?  That is impressive. somebody really wanted one bad.  thats all that means.

now if you had the brains to say "351W"  instead of 350, you would be hard pressed to find ANYBODY on here that would dis it.

I would :p  but you would have probably guessed that though :hick:

I'm not all that impressed with the car.  Clean?  Yes.  Other than that though, to me it's just another 87-88TC...and well, it doens't have enough headlights or the right dash to suit me.  :hick:

It is his car though, but to tout it like he's doing is a bit much.

Hit the guy?  The original owner probably paid MORE to have that engine installed than 99% of the members on this board paid for thier ENTIRE CAR!  Does it make it okay because he paid a lot, not by a long shot, but .  You guys...

I think we should ban the posting of eBay links, craiglist ads, autotrader, etc....

I'm an idot!

Finally, you speak truth!

And THEN you go off attacking 1lwdbrd's car in a thread that has NOTHING to do with his car, which further proves the above statement.  Good job on completely annihilating all of your crediblity.

"every other car on this forum"? How old are you?

I'm 12.  Go into my public profile and do the math.

And yes, way too many cars get bashed on this forum.  Look at ipsd's statements about 1wldbrd's car.  Remember the T Bucket with the 350ci?  The list keeps on going...

Also:  LMAO @ whoever made the comment about putting a 350 in a Tbird.  If that wasnt a CHEVROLET[/i] engine as opposed to a FORD[/i] engine like the 5.0, maybe you'd have a point.  Oh wait...you wouldnt because it's not your  car.

And like I said to you TC lovers, there are STOCK PRISTINE 2.3 TCs ON EBAY ALL THE TIME!!!  Go buy one of those and shut the hell up please.  I like TCs and I think it's really awesome what Ford was able to do with a 4cylinder at that time, but I'm not gonna bash a car TO DEATH just because it doesn't have the 2.3 still in it.  What if someone took a 5.0 car and put a 2.3 in it and all the 5.0 lovers went into that thread and just spammed it with "WAH WAH WAH ITS NOT WORTH MUCH ANYMORE I <3 teh 5.0 teh 2.3 suxx0rz" ?  It's all pretty  childish in my opinion.

My car probably wouldnt sell for even 5 grand, but do you think I give a ?  I enjoy the living shiznit out of my car and that's all I care about and that's all that everyone on this forum should care about.  Not what engine is in it, or what wheels it has, or the options on it.  Who gives a flying shiznit what the car has as long as the owner enjoys it?  Now can everyone just SHUT UP PLEASE!!??

Have you all ever seen barrett Jackson?

Barett Jackson is a joke to say the least.

As for the TC.
:idhitit:

There is nothing discrageful about a car that is build the way it should have been built. But I do agree I wouldn't drive it around where I live. It would either be beat to hell by others or rott out in no time due to salt.

Is there such a thing a credibilty on the NET. Not to the best of my knowledge. I don't recall bashing 1wldbrd car just pointing out that it might not work so well. Besides he was already pissed at me for point thast fact out in his tread about the fender scoop. Oh well I guess each to there own. I think that turbo coupe is nice but not the way I would have done it. All this replying back and forth gives me something to do when it is raining outside and I can't get the things I want to done because of it. Also I don't need to go buy a Turbo coupe I alreay own one. Maybe it isn't that nice but it will be one day. So slam me cut me down Does it look or sound like I car what most of you think any way.  A few select members yes I do but most of the others NAAA! Once again I guess I'm not intitled to my opinion. So why should you be. Besides if you are gonna quote me you shouldn't take things out of context.

Listen, ****tard. If I like something I'll say so. If I don't I'll again say so. Don't think for a second that you have any place to tell me to shut the hell up for stating my opinion on something I see as a shame.

Show respect to other peoples' cars and other people, and you'll get it in return.  It's rediculous and childish how people will DESPISE a vehicle just because it isnt EXACTLY how they would do it.  It's also one thing to say "not my taste, but I respect what has been done to it" and a completely other thing to go off and bash it to hell, like many have done in this thread and many other threads.

@ipsd:  You WERE bashing what 1wldbrd did.  And not only that, you PERSONALLY attacked him by saying "I wont say what I think of you."  Thats an easy way to lose respect.

Guess what?  Not everyone has the same taste!!!  WOW now THERE's a concept!  Grow up, suck it up, and just respect the work and TLC that has been put into ALL of our cars.  Give that respect and you'll get it in return.

There is a much better way to have replied to this thread.  Here, check this out:

"That's a really clean, nice car, but I would personally have kept the 2.3."

Unfortunately, most replies were more like this:

"Wow that car is BULLshiznit without the 2.3."

You said it Skippy. So you let me know when it'll be alright for me to get tired of seeing the same shiznit every day where someone takes what is, to me, an iconic car and removes the one thing that makes it that way. I got past the "not what I'd do but good job" stage a long time ago.

To keep the apples in the apple barrel I'll put it this way. If you were a GN guy and every time you turned around the best examples of the turbo Buicks were being swapped for big blocks. Every time you turned around. You'd get pretty sick of it after a while too.

Also, what do you think is going to happen to all those nice TC's you see on Ebay? Some guy is going to try 'sumpthin differnt' and toss a 302 in it and claim to crack cold fusion with his efforts.

I'm sure I'd get sick of it, but I wouldn't get so bent out of shape over it.  When it's all said and done, if the car isnt yours and you're not paying for the parts, insurance, etc for it, there's nothing you can do except respect the work the person has done to his or her car.  Hell, I'm already tired of all the Dukes of Hazzard replica Chargers (and Chargers are WAAAYY more rare than TCs), but if that's what the owners enjoy, so be it.

The work that me, my dad, and my uncle did to my 5.0 really opened my eyes.  It made me truly realize what putting hard work into a car really means, and really gave me a new respect for any car out there that someone has put a lot of time and/or hard earned money into.  And I know that I haven't even scratched the surface as far as that's concerned.

So how would you feel after all that hard work and all you get is a thread with pages of people saying "Your car is a sack of shiznit!" ?  I'd be willing to bet you wouldn't be happy, because I know I sure wouldnt.
