The gear on a roller motor distributor is different than a standard non-roller 5.0.You have to use one for a roller motor,or,the standard gear will get eaten alive.....literally.

Understood, but how do you do that on a DS dizzy? Just switch them? Or is there some mythical roller cam DS2 motor to rape a dizzy from?

The best one would be from an '85 Stang....in my own opinion.They were roller engine/4bbl.

Fila FTW!!!!!!!!! After 2 hours of work, me and Brian started the car. Actually I started it about 20 min's after he left. Runs good but needs tuned. Summit list got shorter but still need an ass load of parts.

Only complaint on the holley 600 vac secondary is it heasitates. Not bad but enough. Apparently I bumpped/dammages the trans cooler lines right on the radiator because I have a puddle under it. Oh well, external trans coller it is. More updates on the way

A new first for the Fila. Got the cops called on me for " peeling out" when I left a parking lot not even a block from my house. The throttle binded then I pushed the gas to move her to the house. ( corrected, cable was just too tight and return spring wasn't installed, I forgot last night). Barked the tires and bounced up the revs till I shut it down instantly. Same dick of a neibhor who towed my car called in the complaint. Cup was an asshole too about how I don't have the titile and everything. Now I have to figure out how to move the car 200 feet to my house without g anyone else off. Thought of coasting it but thats a long coast and my driveway is up hill. I could drive but don't wana piss anyone else off. Now incase everyone else doesn't know, I'm getting my lisence very soon. This week even. I don't have the title for the cas as my very close freind just died reciently and the title was in his name. His wife can't find it so I'm ****ed for the moment. No insurance without it in my name, no tage till insurance says the cop. So I'm pretty much screwed for the monent. Any idea's?

Well first advice I could give is NEVER put any time or $ into a car without a clean title.
Of course when I was young I didn’t listen to anybody and had to find out the hard way so is a good lesson for you. Javelin I had, ended up pulling the drive train back out (buying a car with a title and no drive train to put it in) then renting a sawzall and quartering the body and hauling it to the s yard ¼ at a time as they wouldn’t take it even for s any more than ¼ at a time without a title.

As for neighbor and cop being assholes..
Seems to me
You were “peeling out”.
You don’t have a license.
You don’t have valid registration (title)
No Insurance
And you’re driving an unsafe vehicle on public roadways “cable was just too tight and return spring wasn't installed”

There’s this little technicality we have in this country called LAWS and we use them to keep us and our families safe.

So what I understand your saying is anybody that thinks you should follow these laws like the rest of us is an asshole? Add me to that list now I suppose.

As for getting it home… Tow Truck! (Then don’t take it away from home till it and you are legal) would be my suggestion. There watching you now

Thats all thats been donce since day one. I've had the car since say june maybe. Working on it and improving it. No one has had a problem, not even the cops till the neihbor called it in that the nose was 6" on his property. Today he was outside and I told hi mI was moving it. He said ok, what ever then ran and got th ephone the seconed i started it. Im in the prosess of getting everything for the car, including tags and title, before the end of the month. Cop said later ( he came to talk to me) that I have permition to move it to the house. He knew Steve ( close freind that died) and he knows about me. Perks of a small town. I'm not trying to rant about the laws, as I do know they are there to protect me and others. But there is a limit. I mean litteraly, the car is 300 feet from my house. Misunderstanding all worked out, waiting on paperwork to move on. On a side bonus though, Officer Wickline did say that It's a nice car and he used to own a 88 Cougar.

You've taken the car around the block before. What would have happened if the throttle stuck and you hit another car w/o a title, insurance, or license.

Like I said, get a bill of sale from the wife of the PO, and head to the License Branch and say the title was lost and see what they can do. Since you're under-age you'll obviously have to have a parent go with you.
Do this before you spend any more time on it....period.

I know, I know. Bad decisions all in the past. I really don't think you all realise it's 200 feet in a stright line to my house. It's staying put, title is moving now. Insurance it after title, as is tags. Everythng in motion. Just moinor shiznit now and it's roadworthy now. After it's home first thinjg that it gets is a bath
