You have to ask yourself,do you "react",or "repond" to a situation.

Liability for my Woman and myself (45 and 47 years old respectively) for
1991 Ford F250 4x4
1995 Chevy Blazer
1988 Thunderbird
With me having one $200 fender bender and one speeding ticket 77 in a 60mph zone
is $120 a month I believe.. (she pays it... but 700 every 6 months sounds right)

I'm only going to have the Fila on insurance. My $500 for summint just became $500 for insurance, tags, title, and lisence fee's. Lisence is $50, tags are 43, and title is $7. Thats $100. So I have $400 for insurance. Is this unreasonable to get a start up on insurance. For Esurance , $398.24 today and $143/month. They just updated it

Actually yes in my opinion it is, but my opinion and 50 cents MIGHT get you a cup of coffee! That’s just because insurance companies are crooks and that’s around the price your going to have to pay anywhere. Try Geico they seem to do pretty good.
It sucks but it’s the price you will have to pay due to your age and being a male and first time insured, your in the ULTIMATE High Risk category.
It's just the price you will have to pay!

In contrast I have two sons, One is 21 now the other is 19
The first looked at that and simply choose not to drive, bought a bus pass and called it good.
The second went out and financed a 1999(?) Ranger 4x4 and had $400 a month payment at 29.9% interest (first time buyer with no credit) and a $450. Per month Full Coverage (he had the truck financed,, Full coverage required..+"ULTIMATE High Risk category") insurance bill.

Consider the range of the “Cost to get around” as
$30 a month (Bus) to $850 a month (“The shiznit” as he referred to it)

Your $143 a month is at the low end of the scale. Your looking good!!

That doesn't seem too bad. Ttle is being takes care of ( according ot the wife), Lisence I need a ride there and a car to use and thats done. Tags can be had as soon as I have insurance.  This is actually truning out better then I would have thought. Only took one good screw up to realise it though. Thanks all those that gave me my yearly swift kick in the ass stright into reality. I owe you guys big.

P.S. After all this I have NO excuse to not be at CJ:flip:

Keep driving with no tags and such and meeting police and see what your insurance goes to, if you can get any. Sorry to hear your friend passed away but I would get something done before spending another dime. Hate to see his widow decide she wants to keep the car for sentimental reasons.

She's not going to. Iw was my project from day one, he just owned it. Insurance is on the way just deciding who I want now. some are lower to start up but some are less in teh long run. Gieco is the cheapest so far, like $800/yeah or such. Probaly go with them. The rest is on the way.  All it needs now is a tranny cooler and some spark plugs and I'm all set. Tires but it's not driven so I can wait on that

NVM, rhode island if your car is over 10 years old, you don't need a title, just a bill of sale! WOOHOO im off on that one. 540 for the car, and ive only put about 100 in parts in it, the rest of the parts are sitting waiting for me to stop being a scaredy cat, and put them in!

You got lucky on the bill of sale. I waited 2 months for the title of my truck. My cousin owned it and it was titled in Arizona. I have it titled in Kansas now.

I understand that some of us are young and do stupid things, but dont rag on Mikey, I mean its not like everyone hasnt done something wrong and got the cops on them. Ive done it. Some cops enforce the law more than others. This is why we learn from our mistakes, not from people calling us dumbasses and immature kids.

How do you guys have it so low? I put minimal options for coverage on my car, full coverage on the other persons car and I'm still at $140 at the lowest.
