So I am guessing that your car is running and everything no or what's goin on.  Long ass thread and it trails off onto different things. Kinda hard to follow.  But looks like you doing a good job.  I am starting to do the same thing as you.

It does drift off a few times. The car *runs* but isn't running. Need to get gas and tune the carb, put the H pipe and flowtubes on, then tires and I'm good.

Mini update. Coil was deat. Got the car to turn over today, it tried like a champ but never fully started. New coil, plugs, and maybe try a different carb tomorow for the hell of it. Oh what a fun project this is turning out to be

How's the fuel pump?Accelerator pump?

On the car, eclectric fuel pump is good, Accelerater pump is ok I think. The main things that I think killed me are the dead coil, almost dead battery, mismattched plugs ( some new, some not), and the fact the carb is untuned to this motor. I'm trying a freids holley toomorow. It just came off his car so if anything will run the Fila, that should

Getting some tomorow while I get other stuff. I've almost given up for the day, theres not too much more I can do right now. Oh yeah for the 3G swap, does teh car's black and orange wire go to the battery also? I have it all hooked up but I swear that gets hooked up too. Anyone have any idea's on what I can do to the car in the rest of tonight, almost broke with all the parts stored closed?

I welcomed the dark side and currently am driving a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT plus, with a 5.9, Code named project "Night Runner"
Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

That was random.... Nope. As for starting the car, it did start and ran for almost 5 min's.  me and Brian are good. My god are those Mac's loud with ONLY that as an exhaust:D . Also need valvecover gaskets, mine suck. As it ran they bled onto the new headers. ....:toilet: Oh yeah, when you turn the key sonmetimes the car will turn over, sometimes nothin. Motor is fine, if you jump i toto the battery it works fine. Any idea's on that one also?

Cables are good. Everything else works by key. How hard is it to replace the switch, I'm assuming you mean ignition switch?

I was wondering if you and Daboss were related as well.Anyway,the ignition switch is in the column and is held on by two safety torx screws.Takes all of 5 minutes to change it.If you've never done it before,it may take a little longer.I'm sure Brian knows how.Does he get the credit for getting the car to run for 5 minutes?Take a break for the night and get some rest.

Don't go tearing the column apart yet, Mike.  I think first you oughtta make sure you have a good solid connection on the starter solenoid.
