Read the last few pages Reply #362 – April 24, 2007, 07:23:33 PM Just re-wired the duraspark with all the right plugs, did shrink-wire stuffs and an ass load of butt connectors, then made it all nice and pretty. Got the CFI coil rigged to work and it started right up, no problems. Fiddled with the carb for a few and got it to idle nice. IT does have a wicked case of lifter chatter now, and my valve cover gaskets are leaking like a cive, but it start and runs consistantly now. Need someone that knows how to tune the carb then I should be good. Yay me!!! Quote Selected

Just any one from an Explore/ford truck would be ok? The car dripps it from one of the connections on teh radiator. If I have to replace a fitting, might as well give it a nice trans cooler. Any idea's on what should come after hte H pipe? I was thinking flowtubes then either a cheap ler with a turndown on each side or cheery bomb glasspacks. Still got the 3g to finish hookin up, but not sure where everything goes to. I think the y/w from the 3g and the b/o from the car go to the battery, the /g/r? goes to the old VR wire, as does o/b I think. Feel free to correct me. One last for a while, I deleted the AC and heater in the car. I need to know if someone maked a formed hose to reflect this. Water pump to intake. I used the one that was on it and cut it ot size, but when you bent it to put it on there, it kinks. Kinda need one before I run the car too long Quote Selected

Read the last few pages Reply #367 – April 24, 2007, 09:30:29 PM plug the 2 small outlets on the water and the one outlet on the t-stat housing with rubber caps you can buy at most auto parts store. i know O'reilly has them in their "Help" section. use a pipe plug to block the port on the manifold.as far as the 3G upgrade, do a search on yahoo. its only been done about 1298725094857205 times. I got the Tach hooked up and working, had the car running maybe 10 min's dikcin with the carb. All of a suddon it stalls. Turn the key, it will crank all day long, no fireing. Has gas, has spark, but no fire. Gave up and came back out 20 min's later, stared for a min then stalled again. I checked ALL the wired and they are all connected and clean of greese. WTF? I'm assuming thats it for now. Ignition switch will turn everything in the car on, then turn teh car over so i don't think it's that. Dizzy is fine that I see. I'm betting on coil or plugs.
