Im putting on a new header, turbo, dump tube and turbo elbow on sunday. I'll start taking pics friday of the stuff. One question, what the easiest way to get the brace off that holds the turbo up when the header is unbolted?
Soon i'll have around 350-360RWHP. All i need is the stand alone computer from stinger to have that power. With more power, I know things can break. My question is what parts should I look at replacing with upgraded parts to prevent any bad situations.
Ive been looking around for new tubular A-arms, a tubular K member and better springs but i cant find any... Ive found alot of mustang stuff so i was wondering if foxbody parts like the ones i just listed would would for my car? Also id really like a got a tubular engine brace as well. Any tips or help would be appreciated! thank you
I cant figure this out for the life of me!! I havent changed my signature since the forum layout changed awhile back and i want to change a few things now but i cant find out how!!
I'll be adding a precision T3T4 turbo (I'll be selling my Garrett airesearch T3 after i get it rebuilt along with the header im currently using. So send me a PM if youre interested) here pretty shortly as soon as a get my header and a few other things back from Jangus. With this bigger turbo, id like to turn up The fuel pressure to run my injectors at a 90-95% pace but i was wondering what the fuel pressure needs to be at to accomplish that. I have an autometer electric fuel pressure gauge to monitor it. Any tips or help will be appreciated. Thank you.
i was wondering if anybody could build me a twin scroll header or knows of anybody that can. Boports $1000 one is a bit out of my price range.... Thank you.
For sale is a A237 cam which is the biggest cam ford made for the 2.3. Its in great shape. It also comes with roller followers and HLA's to convert your valve train over to a roller setup for more horsepower. If you have any questions feel free to send me a personal message.
Does anybody know anything about the 2.3 volvo DOHC head swap? If i did hurt the piston rings, the whole motor will have to be taken apart so i figure its the perfect time to build it.
whenever i start my car up a cloud of blue smoke comes out of my exhaust. it keeps putting out clouds of blue smoke until the engine gets hot and then even if i rev it, no blue smoke comes out. Leaving work friday i did a little fish tail in the parking lot and when i stopped at the exit a cloud of blue smoke was all around my car. Any ideas on what this might be?
i forgot to take a pic of the intake side but i got that fully ported and port match to the felpro race gasket. the exhaust side a got port match to my copper gasket then fully ported out.
Ive tried a few different combos with the vacuum lines and nothing will hold boost at one level. Any suggestion with what i can do? diagrams and pics will help out alot!! ive looked at a few pics and diagrams and they didnt work.
I just recently did a head swap, i just finished it up today with the final checking of the head stud bolts and i notices there was a bad oil leak. Its all over my cam pulley. Ive adjusted the valve cover gasket acouple times and that didnt held. I had to tap out the cam because the bolt wasnt going in so boport told me to tap it out so i did. So could there be oil coming out of the cam bolt hole or should i replace my ranger valve cover gasket?
Im not getting enough tension on the timing belt to where i can slide the belt on the tensioner pulley. The plate has that bolt hole that allows it to pivot back and forth when putting on the belt, the bolt has and gap above it when the belt is on but when the belt is off, the gap below it. I hope that makes sense. My friend and i (he also has a turbo coupe that he has done this stuff on) cant remember if the gap should be above or below it the bolt.
