As in how many lincoln mark seires fox body owner do we have on this site/forum? I just refurred a freind of mine. He's got a 87 mark 7 bill blass edition. He should be joining any day. Hope he likes it as mch as I do.
This is a pic of the driver side front wheel from the 88 cougar that I totaled. You can see how one part is trying to be square. I really think that it looks pretty good for the pounding that it took. I drove off a 75ft embankment while I was sleeping with the cruise set at 65MPH. Any how this is on my wall of destruction. That was over 2yrs ago. Both my buddy and I walked away. I did break my back but now its all good.
I saw this cougar at a local car lot. So I stopped in and gave it a test spin. It is an 86 model with the 3.8 CFI and it was a dog. I did notice that there is somthing wrong with the front end. Any how all in all its not that bad of a car only has 144,000 mi on it. I got some pics for you all to see. The guy at the lot told me he doesn't think that is has ever been in a wreck. they told me they wanted $1990 for it. They must be smoking some really good stuff.
The exterior door window weather srtipping? Also looking for the full door seal. also the upper window seal. I'm looking for new pieces. Anyone know of an after market supplier? I'm getting tired to the marks that the outter seal is making on the windows.

My buddy and I are sick and tired of the POS 2.5 CFI 80HP motor that came in his 86 Pontiac Fiero. So Ripped it out and were gonna drop in a 3.1from a 91 Grandprix with the full compter and harness. The car is a 5spd. Any how here are some pics of what we've done. We think this thing should actally move for once. What do you think.
I've got some fresh pics for ya'll. Even though I need body work I waxed the car with Meguiers NXT tech paste wax and buffed it off with a Random orbitl buffer first with terry bonnet they with a foam bonnet. Shines where it can. Also I recently installed A/c on my bird so I took a current pic of my engine compartment. I also added a homade gills valve and boost gauge and a Oil pressure guage.
I was just lookong at a thread about ventvisors and I've looked before and I can't find any that say they would work on the 83-86 model birds or cougars. I was just wondering is anyone has tries the 87-88 ones would work? If so what did you do to make them fit? I was just thinking maybe someone has done this before I actually bought some and tried it.
I've got a brand new 87/88 cougar trunk lock. The package has been opened but everything is there, The lock,the keys,the linkage,the gasket,the instructions. It is brand new never beeen installed. I'll let it go for $10+ship Oh yeah its a lockworks brand manufactured by Borg Warner
I just converted my 84 turbo coupe to R134a. I put 24oz of R134a in it and 8oz of ester oil. Any how It doesn't get near as cold as it did with r12. I talked to one shop and they told me that you should put 80% R134a in there compared to how much R12. Well according to what I can find the factory said 40oz of R12 so that would mean 32zo of R134a if my math is right. They only problem is the guy that put the the R134a in there told showed me the gauge and told me that we are right were we need to be as far as pressure. That was right about 45psi. So who is right and if the 45psi is right should I add so prefomance boosters such as (maxi cool or Arictic Freeze)? Has anyone used them and how did they work? Just want to know so I can get it into top cooling shape for the hot days ahead
I just installed some A/c stuff from my 85 XR7 on to my 84 T/C that had some bad stuff when I put the motor in 3yrs ago. So basically everything is from the 85 cougar except the part in the dash. Its working good I just need to wire my Hayden fan controlller to turn the electric fans on when the A/c compressor comes on. I know that the green wire from my fan controller goes to the compressor siganl wire. So witch one is the compressor signal wire. The blue one or the black with green trace? Thanks in advance.
