We'' my 2.3t just started tick make a ticking sound yesterday. I haven't looked into it much. I did have the hood up with it running. Its seems to be comeing from the V/C area. The car isn't smoking excepts for the Startup. Still seems to runn fine making boost just making a loud ticking sound. I did check the oil and found I was 1/4qt low added oil but still makes the tick. Any idea's let me know. Thanks in advance
The crusie on my 84 T-Bird T/C is acting funny. When I set it it speeds up a little more then losses speed then speeds back up past where I set it. It just keeps up this cycle the whole time. I was wondering if it might have somthing to do with the TPS? I think the TPS needs to be replaced. At about 70-75MPH with the cruse off I get to a spot in the throttle where you are either slowing down or speeding up but nowhere in there are you just cruising the same speed. Any one have any ideas?
It seems to me that I can no longer add attachments to my post? Am I the only one with this problem? Is there somehting I'm over looking? I've noticed this over the past 3-4 weeks in the short times that I've been home.
Well my question is will a 2.0 Pinto head bolt on and work on a 2.3? I've got a chance to buy a remaned unit for $30.00 I've got a 2.3 turbo I know I'd need to change the cam. But will it work?
I'm leaving on Tues jan 3rd. Gonna fly into greatfalls. Then drive to hamilton. It is for work. Were going to finish converting a parts store there. I think my company is nuts for sending me to Montana in Jan. Especially seen who we have to drive some 250mi through the mountains. Were all from the springfeild Mo area and most of these people have no clue what to expect up there. I don't really but my buddy used to live in S.Dakota so I have some of an idea. I've had this happen two times now, about a month apart. Both times were in the morning on the way to work running the headlights on low beam with the fogs on. All this is in my 84 T/c yes it has the auto on lights but that part quit working months ago. Just haven't been back in the dash since the wiper delay box got put in. any how my headlights flickerd a few times. I messed with the switch (turned it off and back on). then I switched off the fogs. Anyone had this happen? Any one have any input? I did notice the fog lights switch was a little warm. On the way home from work no flicker.
I'm going there for work. I'll be there for about 7-8 days. If you are there in town you better say Goodbye to XXXXXXXX autoparts. It's gonna be ripped out and changed to another parts Store. I Know thats why I'm gonna be there. See if you can find me. Is there anything fun in town today if so what and where? Wish I would have the bird but company puts us in Vans.
This is on my 84 T-bird. It worked when I left work but not when I got home? Just wondering if there is a fuse for it? The key pad doesn't light up but the power locks still work. I haven't dug into it yet. Just looking for some input incase someone new more about it than me. Thanx in advance.
I bought this MP3 player for $150. It holds 4gigs so it is killer. I just got a new posistion with the company I work for I travel alot. I did buld a koo little mount for it to mount in my 84 T/c. Check out the pics. I also got some interior shots while I had it all cleand up.
I'm needing the trim piece that goes between the passenger front wheel and the bumper cover. It must have the light cut out and be for a 83-86 model cara. If you have one let me know.
First let me tell you I've got a 84 T-bird Turbo coupe. While I have done lots of up grades to it. I have run across this buzzer type sound that comes on at high RPM only. No it is not the over boost buzzer either. I'm only running 13psi of boost and the car rips. It doesn't do it all the the just somtimes. any how any ideas? It sounds like that buzzer when you first turn the car on before you start it. Also my red engine light stays on all the time. I only get the EGR code and KS code but I don't tap to test the KS. Also if you turn of the car the red engine light gets brighter. So I have no clue on it either. Thanks in adavnce for the help.
