change the timing cover to a cover that will allow you to bolt on a fuel pump plus the wheel on the cam gear and away you go :D I did this on the 85 302 I put in my 79 cougar runs fine

try using a jumper wire at the acspoogeulator switch, jump across the two wires with the a/c on and the engine running.  the compressor should kick on and run.  let me know what happens

spray the back with black spray paint and se the areas you want the light to show through with a razor knife..  thats what I would do
