If I can get my car running and on the road and if $500 could get me there and back I could. But I like to have extra money when driving half way accrossed the country.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Well piss.

Looks like my plans are going to fail me as well.  The car is still w/o a cam and even if I get it together this weekend, I'm not sure how comfortable I'd feel with a 5+ hour drive on it as the tune is just still not right.

Also, I've had some family shiznit pop up that I may have to deal with that weekend.

Grrrrrr......

5 hours!!! thats it?  :slap:

i have a 24 hour trip"1200 miles":raspberry so get in your car and drive:flip:

besides i spend about $ 600.00 getting the cougar ready for the trip and two days ago my alternator took a dump and that cost my $200.00 new.. and i'm preying that my transmission holds up for the weekend.. why because T5's don't like high horsepower motors and it is allready 3 years old.. so no excuses!! :flip: ;)

i'm ALL SET!!! i think:drink:

I'll be at a concert on Friday night in Pittsburgh. I have yet to decide whether or not to leave from Pittsburgh on Friday night or Saturday morning. I suppose it depends if people will be out in the parking lot having fun on Friday night.
I'm weary of leaving my car in Pittsburgh on Friday night, as it will be full of valuable parts... including an original FMS spoiler that no longer belongs to me.

It's not just the car now.  It's the "other" issues too that have popped up.  Me taking off next weekend now is probably not going to be a good idea.

1200 miles in 24 hours???  Slacker.  I made it 1100 in 19.

That was the trip back to NY after Cat Jam 04.  With a stop off in Saint Louis.

My Dad even suggested that if the Cougar wasn't finished that I should drive my Ranger up. I think I might do that if "the beast" isn't finished in time. I just need to get out of here for a while anyway, if ya know what I mean.

By the way, I just called the upholster, he said the material arrived THIS MORNING!!!! He said they should have 'em finished by next Wednesday! Boy, that's cutting it close, lol!! So if they're actually finished and installed, they'll be literally "hot off the presses" when you guys see 'em, lol.
