Also..what size is the hardware that bolts them to the block? Thread and length?
Don't quote me on this, it's a post I found at http://www.clubcobra.com/t61425.html and he says it was for his 289...

1. Crank Pulley :3/8"NC x approx 1.25"
2. Water Pump Pulley: 5/16 NF x 1" (Too long they & they will foul the pump body)
3. Fuel Pump: 3/8"NC X approx 1.5"-1.75"
4. Motor Mounts: 7/16" NF x 1"
5. Flywheel: 7/16" NF x 1" or 1.25" (depending on flywheel or flexplate thickness).
6. Oil Pump: 3/8" NC X 1.25. ( recommend studs here, must be longer to allow for nut and washer.

Herb - If you could that would be great.

MB- I'm not sure if a fine thread would be used in that location, but 7/16" dia sounds right.

I guess if Herb has some, that will end all questions ;)

I spent some time working on jigs for these last night.

It will have to wait until I get some of the lasered bits back with my other order to be able to piece together prototypes (they use some of the same pieces for mounts I've already designed) , but I imagine I'll have a set together before the end of the month.

I would like to try out some proto's of these mounts :D I am fixing up my busted motor (broken piston) and one of the mounts is loose already - I guess it doesn't take long with 450 FT-LBS of torque! :D Any chance I could get a couple of proto's to try out?

Nope, not on an 86-88 model. The 83-85 uses the same crossmember as the Mustang, but the 86-88 has a unique one that requires unique (and discontinued) mounts. acome to think of it, I could be wrong - the 86 may be the same as the 83-85, but the 87-88 are definitely different

I think that some 85's are the same too. I think it is the same as the 85.5 thingy with the back axel

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Any news on these? I'm going to be putting the motor back together and I may be desperate for an upgraded mount since I just put new one's in 2 years ago and the passenger side is falling apart already.

I'm still getting all the bits sorted for the orders for the 2.3Ts.  I started on a jig a couple weeks ago, and might be able to work on the one this weekend.  Lots of things going on project-wise this weekend.
I know How I'm going to build them, it's just a matter of getting everything  worked out.

Thanks for the update. I figured you were busy since you hadn't responded to my earlier post - thought I'd be a pain in the arse since my motor is hanging from a crane now...  :D

I can slip them in later if I have to  :locked:
