The CP autox bird Reply #30 – December 26, 2010, 06:02:16 PM Pretty much have the panhard bar and mounts done. Just have to take it all out to finish welding and gusseting. Welder was giving me fits all afternoon and don't know why. It is getting low on wire so that could be it. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #31 – December 26, 2010, 06:25:26 PM that's an interesting panhard bar setup, looks great though, nice and parallel with the rear Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #32 – January 02, 2011, 06:42:40 PM little updateHad to put this in to see how much clearance I had to build my torque armHad to cut shifter hole since it was an auto carproposed ride height  torque arm crossmember Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #34 – January 02, 2011, 07:40:01 PM doesnt have any downpipe on it yet. I haven't done ANYTHING to that engine yet. There is still room above the torque arm crossmember to be able to get a 3" pipe though there though. Quote Selected

That is what I was wondering. Difficult to tell from the pics if there is enough room above the xmember for any piping Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #36 – January 03, 2011, 12:12:28 AM It will have to go to the side of the transmission tunnel though, but it will go through. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #37 – January 03, 2011, 10:20:46 PM Just enough room to still get a 3" exhaust through there. I will probably clearance that brace for the seatbelt though. Quote Selected

The CP autox bird Reply #39 – January 04, 2011, 06:10:12 PM they are from maximum motorsports for SN95 mustang. Bilstien sport valved shocks in the rear and eventually get sport front struts too. current ones are standard HD bilstiens. Quote Selected

The CP autox bird Reply #41 – January 04, 2011, 09:55:41 PM This is a SICK build! I really like how you are building your own suspension mods. I curious as to the front torque arm connection. I thought the front connection needed to allow for axle rotation up or down from side to side? I guess you are not expecting any body lean in the corners, huh?Keep up the great work. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #42 – January 04, 2011, 10:02:50 PM That's pretty. I'm a little concerned about how it mounts to the crossmember. Is it going to bind? Dont most torque arms mount with a heim joint. But its freaking beautiful fab work. Quote Selected

I'm paying close attention to the build. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #44 – January 04, 2011, 10:53:44 PM The MM arm is attached with a bolt in single shear. I didnt like that, and I didn't like the way the griggs arm attached either. So, I tried something different. It works for leaf springs, so why is this any different? Its got the two bushings so that each one only has to take up half the movement. This is an install I found of the MM torque arm that clearly shows the bolt in single shearhttp://www.alanchavis.com/oldsite/mmtapb/mmtapb.htmGriggs setup(scroll down a little - just a diagram)http://www.griggsracing.com/installation/gr40.html Quote Selected
