I like to just google "20th anniversary cougar" to see what things such as CL and kijiji ads come up, and I found this.
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft
2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...
1988 Black XR7 Trick Flow top end, Tremec 3550
1988 Black XR7 Procharger P600B intercooled, Edelbrock Performer non-RPM heads, GT40 intake AOD, 13 PSI @5000 RPM. 93 octane

this piece of shiznit is exactly what cash for clunkers is meant to kill off

literally, wow at this piece of shiznit, wow that some one would WANT to keep it. WOW at any one, minus the government of course, giving you more than $1 for it.

(ps, my fam had a shiznitter like this when we came to the states, its was a piece of shiznit in 96, its still a piece of shiznit now)

If I met this guy I'd pop him in the  mouth :beatyoass:

That IS the same combo...but not his I dont think, just the picture from howstuffworks.com "The Mercury Cougar In the 80's"

I read the text below that picture in shock and awe.

@ thunderjet.....OBVIOUSLY they made like 370-420 WHEEL horsepower, out of like a 2.5L inline four with 7.5:1 compression and three cats in the exhaust.

Well lets be adult about this and not do that ;). One mans trash is another man's treasure. Just because I think that 80s Camaros are garbage doesn't mean there aren't guys out there that like them, the difference is there is a 99% chance that the guys that like them won't be on a Thunderbird/Cougar forum (Or Audi ;)).

You get what I am trying to lay out here?

Engines for the 1981-1987 Audi Coupe:

Type Size            Horsepower  Years
ohc  I-5 2,144 cc  100            1981-1983
ohc  I-5 2,226 cc  110            1984-1987
ohc  I-5 2,309 cc  130            1987

Engines for the 1985-1991 Audi 5000CS Turbo Quattro/200 Quattro:

Type      Size        Horsepower    Years
ohc I-5*  2,226 cc  158-162        1985-1990
*Turbocharged

So an 87 20th Cougar made 20 more hp than the non turbo :hick:

Baxo has an Audi...he likes Foxes...so who gives a shag?

Face it, not everyone loves our cars. That's why we're so left behind by the aftermarket. Would YOU love these cars if everyone and their dog (think Mustang...) owned one as well? Didn't think so.

It bothers me to see Ford trucks, Crown Vics and a few other cars being crushed...even a nice Audi...

I think the program is a waste of tax dollars, vehicles, and other resources.

That is all.
