Owned?

There's more of theirs on the road than there is of ours.
To most, their cars don't have the history that ours do, also.
Tbirds had an almost 50 year run..Cougars just a bit less.

20 horsepower difference?
Probably still outrun, outhandle, and generally out-perform most 20 years old, worn out stock Cougar...
What is is this..a dick size contest?

Jesus...y'all need to lighten up a little. I don't care one way or the other for Audi's, Aston Martin's, Acura's or airplanes, but if you or anybody else wants to own one..go ahead...and I'll keep my judgements to my self ;)

Oh me too man honestly...just laughing at THAT particular argument over power etc.

I mean YES 150 horse for a smallblock V8 sounds lame...but that's just ignorance. If you know how things were back then you know that that's all they could get out of em.

A few of them dont really understand what the car was and what it was intended for. Just because its got a V8 doesnt mean it is or should be a supercar :hick:

Meh... that's actually not that bad. You should see what they say about Mustangs. I don't visit the 'Zine too often for that reason (and a guy with that sig and avatar should not be taken seriously). Just let it go.

I basically just wanted to get the point across that our cars are NOT worthless to US and that the guy would have a lot more luck selling it on a site like ours than the elitist audi board.

I think kings cars should fine someone on that forum local to him and offer to race them. 1/4 mile, steet, or track.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I had an '88 Audi quattro, gave it to my brother, who already has a '85 coupe that he rally races with.  I'll have to ask him if he's on that board.

I was actually looking at buying an older Quattro (80's) for $800. They are pretty neat cars.

Well, I posted on the board, and didn't see my brother on there yet.  We could always revive the AUDI AWD grafted under a Tbird thread again. :hick:

I liked the quattro for its comfort and interior styling, but standing back and looking at the body, it just seemed odd.  But I'm an old school jacked up in the rear muscle car kinda guy. :burnout:

Someone should tredge up the 99 cougar R8 article just to see if these "audi " car guys can tell their precious R8 from a clone.

Bunch of snobs, I bet they're comparing an '88 Cougar to a 2009 S5 instead of one their 111hp Audi 80s from the '80s.
