made alittle more progress, nothing too drastic but I installed the GT40 intake.  now here's my little issue, the front right intake bolt was snapped off in the head when I acquired them and it happens to be the bolt needed for the alternator brace. Is the brace really needed?  or can I cut the bolt I have and use it as an anchor pin?  I really dont have very many options seeing as removing the bolt would be near impossible with the angle it sits in the head.

do you plan on removing the head? if so it would make it easier to remove the bolt. But i does it seal up ok with that broken off in there if so i wouldn't worry bout it. just use it as an anchor for whatever you need. But what brace are you talking bout? i know on the sc motors they had a brace from the water pump to the engine acc bracket but i removed that cuz it just got in the way. and i havent had any issues with it gone.

the brace I am talking about is on a 5.0 goes from said intake bolt to the back of the alternator bracket.
