5.0 HO 306 roller block, machined GT-40P heads, Wiseco dished forged pistons, Eagle forged floating I-beam connecting rods, Lunati pushrods, ARP bolts, Scorpion aluminum 1.6 rockers, Comp Cams Magnum 266HR, Explorer intake, 65mm TB, MAF Conversion, 19# injectors, Ford Racing stainless P-headers, 2-1/2" cat-less exhaust w/ Flowtech Afterburner lers , SC AOD with 2800 BDR torque converter, 3.73 T-Lok rear, CHE rear control arms, full 2-1/2" frame w/1" jacking rails & seat supports, Rear disk brakes, Turbine wheels, All original interior w/ floor shift upgrade .......
Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

Any progress planned for the Cougar today? I want to get my valve covers on, and get the Sport washed and waxed. I guess I'm going to have to take a couple of vacation days so I can get something finished. Time is hard to come by.

Very nice !!! Now, just a few more exhaust pieces, some fasteners, and you're set !!! I remember when I got the new X-Pipe. I had to look at it for a while. I love new parts. Even new "used" parts. I cut the pegs for mounting off of my X-Pipe. Trying to get them in that bracket was always more trouble than I felt like dealing with. Never had an issue with them gone. I still have to get new lers, but spent the ler money on a new wheel and two new front tires for the Sport.LOL. Oh well, that's the way it goes.

If you do it right (cook it like you're supposed to) it should be fine. I've heard of people painting headers with not having problems so you're H pipe should be ok.

I'd bet the paint will burn of eventually. My X-Pipe still looks good after about 4 or 5 years. No rust.BUT, with the small amount of driving you'll do, the paint may work. I'd use the best high heat stuff you can find though.

As long as the car isn't driven in snow/salt it should be fine. My 2.5" H-pipe is 4 years old and looks like new.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.
