Project Evolution *** Project Complete **** Wednesday July 9, 2014

So here's the last piece of my Cougar. finally, after 2 years of searching, I got my trunk lid. and some extra fenders for the vert.

I know that I already repaired the old lid for my car. but I have an idea for a cool mod that I want to do. I also want the original look of my car, so that's the reason for getting another lid.


And the extra fenders for the vert. the pass. side of the car is pushed in where the door and fender meet. This will make the repair a lot easier when I do that car.




I originally thought I would be able to work on the car all weekend, but a good friend of the family lost his battle with cancer this week. The funeral is Saturday, so it looks as though I'll be down to working on it on sunday only.  I'll keep everyone updated with the progress report on Sunday night.

And another thanks to Haystack who found me some fenders to send along with the trunk lid.

I know the feeling. I just lost my great grandmother, and to top it off I cant attend the funeral cause ill miss class and get kicked out. Isn't that a kicker?? 3rd relative in the 3 months ive been here to pass away, 2nd funeral I have to miss because of school...

I welcomed the dark side and currently am driving a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT plus, with a 5.9, Code named project "Night Runner"
Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

got the drivers side and trunk lid in epoxy primer. There's a bit of a mist in the shop when I took the pics, but you get the idea.
















now to get the other side and the hood primed.

Thanks, I primed it with black, to see the flatness of the panels. next they have to be 2k primed, and blocked again before paint....... but I have to tell you, up close they look pretty  close to perfect already.. they just need a little here and there.

The price of repairing 2 quarters would probably exceed the price of another rust-free bird. unless you did it yourself. then it would be close to the same price.

they are NOT bad at all, only right along the bottom edge is bad, and idk i its even all the way through they seem solid

That's what I thought after the Sport was green,red,blue,gray,white,and gold for nearly 2 years.I've learned to live with one color.LOL.It did take a while,and to be honest,I missed it the "Old" way for a while.
