Reply #135 – September 19, 2007, 06:26:11 PM ok so got bussy on this one this weekend, thanks to one hell of a hangover sunday morning, sitting inside, working on this while nurcing my hangover sounded like a good idea. so heres an update.I got to looking at it and desided it needed to be longer to fit everything under the custom hood. So I added a bit to the front end, and streached the wheel base. Also got the hood together. still have a lot of work, but its coming along.and last but not least, hows this for a view? The last NEW Official Model Car Thread! Reply #143 – September 20, 2007, 12:49:28 PM Three now, and each have their quirks. If you're building box-stock or painting an anti-red color, get the Yellow Box (new) version. The White Box is the same but with no paint and improved decals and chrome. The Original Red box ones are far superior plastic, but being molded in red makes other colors difficult. The chrome is either perfect or , never in-between. No decals but it has crisper details (from being a "younger" mold). Quote Selected

The last NEW Official Model Car Thread! Reply #147 – September 20, 2007, 07:04:57 PM There is no discernible difference once completed unless you try painting a red one white. They come from the same mold. The red ones came out in 1986 and so just by being first out of the mold they are "crisper". Of course this means they've also aged. The Yellow/White box ones are molded in silver. Modern chroming is not up to the "luster" of the 80's stuff. They're cheap. Buy one of each. Quote Selected
