The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #135 – January 26, 2006, 10:17:00 PM I actually did a '56 Ford F-100 in blue with gold flake. It's been packed away since I moved back from Jersey 6 years ago....I'm gonna have to dig it out. Quote Selected
The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #136 – January 26, 2006, 10:17:46 PM N-ICE!!! That back-end looks NASTY with those tires! Great stance, paint, build, BRAVO. I also have to say that that is some of the best pics I've EVER seen of a model. (I like it so much because it has Aerobird Motorsports Intercooler hoses on it :D:D) Quote Selected
The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #137 – January 26, 2006, 10:24:53 PM thanks aerobird. All of you guys got me wanting to build this one when this thread started and of course since i own a TC it had to be detailed enough for me. Since i have 3 more TC models im going to do another one that will be a Street Racer version, big turbo, FMIC, slammed, 3" exhaust dumped out the side and whatever else i can come up with. Might get a cage snuck in there and some subframe connectors. This one might take me a while. I have been trying to find a 83-86 body to make a replica of my TC but cant get one...BTW aerobird i ran into some cash dilema's and couldn't send out the money for those Junkyard parts. Im sure you figured that by now but thanks, Quote Selected
Monte Carlo SS Reply #138 – January 26, 2006, 11:14:57 PM This is a model car body shell that I put on an xmod. Lots of custom work done to it. I wouldn't mind doing a thunderbird xmod if I can get a kit.Jason Quote Selected
The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #139 – January 26, 2006, 11:43:30 PM Demented, can't wait to see the next one! I'll buy that one if it helps :D:D It's alright, send it whenever. As far as the 83-86 body, you have to buy a 83-86 Pro-Stock and do alot of custom stuff. I think it got posted earlier. I have a cr@p load of those bodies if you're interested.Jason, that's kinda cool. Those things are R/C's right? That would make a bad-@$$ TC kit. Quote Selected

There either too wide or too long. Quote Selected
The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #142 – January 28, 2006, 08:05:53 PM Well it's a full size 1/24 kit. You could cut sections out of the body in at least 3 different places to help keep the proportions to scale to fit the chassis. http://www.xmodworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=11173&highlight=brushless I used 1.5mm carbon fiber and made my own chassis. http://www.xmodworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=12303&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=chevelle&start=0 That was a 70 chevelle I also did, and ended up selling on ebay. Currently working on a grand national. I like making these because you can actually drive em.Jason Quote Selected

The OFFICIAL Model Car Thread! Reply #144 – January 29, 2006, 09:31:59 PM Blazin_Jason, you think youd be able to take a stock xmod, and turbo coupe model, and make the body fit, and the model wheels and tires fit? id be very interested, even with a "budget" build, like using ABS plastic, or FRP for the chassis rather than carbon fiber Quote Selected

The body I started with came with a bunch of previously built cars, and they managed to screw up the taillights. Quote Selected
