I agree completly, i have the 3.8G AMD Athlon 64 bit, 1G ram with a 256 Geforece 9500(?) and havent had the slightest problem. They are an extremely powerful processor and like someone said Vista is coming. If yo have a monitor HDD and CD-Rom you can get the board, proc, and mem for about 500.

Laptop is out of the question trust me you wont be happy with the graphics. As the others have said a good board with an AMD 64-bit processor at least a gig of ram but 512 will do and a pci-express video card. SATA hard drive for better performance:D
