Different types of hoods.

Hey everyone. I was wondering what different types of hoods you can get for the tbirds. I know there is the stock hood and TC hood but is there any other hoods? Like cowl induction or something that already has good scoops on it? I want to get a new hood and just keep the stock one in my garage without messing it up.

Hmmmmmmm........ well.....there are fiberglass cowl hoods as well. Choices are extremely limited. I have the TC hod on mine. I've never looked into the cowl hoods for my car, but some here have them. They will chime in soon.

Why does it say 83-87 for these hoods the 88 is the same as the 87.

Even though it states up to '87, it'll fit an '88.

Thanks for the link I'm a sucker for a cowl hood

I had to stop driving my mustang because I might run over dogs and small children lol .....  4" cowl

I built the cowl hood on my tbird it's made out of a original hood an a hood off an f150

Wish they would sell just the Cowl piece by itself, so I could graft or weld it onto my stock hood. Not interested in an entire fiberglass hood, and would rather keep the stock release, than rice up my bird with hood pins. The search continues...

Steel and fiberglass cowls are easily available through different companies.
