My scoop is an aftermarket srt-10 style scoop for a late model dodge ram. It fits the shape of the hood pretty well with no modification. Mine is steel but i've seen fiberglass versions too. (sorry for the py pic)



this is what it looks like on the truck, for reference:
'87 T-bird 5.0/AOD - daily driver
'94 Lincoln Town Car - winter beater
SN95 suspension/brakes - lowered 3" front/2" rear - Bullitt wheels - 200w stereo - VDO gauges

So what about if you have a tc hood and want to add a cowel hood but also making it functional along with the tc hood scoops staying fuctional.
88 tc red, 5 speed daily driver/work in progress.
01 f150 4" lift, 35" tall mud tires, (needs a bigger lift)
88 tc black. New leather interior, motor is a work in progress.

Go to Jegs.com, and click on the hood,scoops, and body section. There is a company that sells 3 styles of hoods for our cars. I also have this posted in the "Leads on cougar/thunderbird Parts"

I have never heard anyone say that using hood pins is a " Rice Mod" before. Hood pins are more associated with late sixty early seventy muscle cars than anything else it seems to me. But who knows, I am an old fart and do not care less about what the import crowd does. Myself I am getting a stock style fiberglass hood and grafting on a 95 Cobra r cowl onto it. You can get very good quality bolt on glass hoods that do not require hood pins and the added bonus is reduced front end weight.
