I'm not a cougar fan but it was sad to see it in there. It was clean inside and out would be a great v8 swap. It didn't have the base model seats or the sport/TCs seats they were maybe the lx seats? And they were clean tear free seats. The back glass said it had a blown head gasket........

I can never figure these cars out.  How can an owner take a decent looking car, blown head gasket, and the only option they can think of is 'junk it'????  Unless they went the Craigslist as is ad and no one was interested.

I rode with a buddy to the nearest yard yesterday, there were 2 Explorers with 5.0 engines, and 3 SN95 Mustangs, the 94 had already had the front spindles taken, but the 95 and the 96 were complete, I did grab some rear brake brackets from the '96 for my eventual rear disc/5 lug swap.

There were no Fox cars of any flavor.

Becuase most people go by the "if it cost's more to fix it than it's worth when it's fixed then don't fix it" rule. (Which personally I've just never been able to make any sense out of)  And if you don't have any tools or mechanic skills to do it yourself, then paying a garage $$$$$$ to do it means it will be well over what it's worth. So since most people that drive these cars only picked em up as a DD grandpa car then they figure oh what the hell I'll junk it and use the $$ as a down payment on another beater.

Hi guys,
Can I ask you for a small help? My buddy has bought a 1988 Buick Regal Limited Coupe with tons of options and he would like to restore it to its original state. He gave me a list of parts he needs. Would you be so kind and look for them on your favourite junkyard? It will help him a lot.

- door handles and complete lock mechanisms (the smallest parts on the back of the lock cylinders are the most important), trunk lock cylinder (w/ key),
- passenger side A/C outlet (in beige color),
- door molding (for both doors),
- rear left ash-tray lid,
- bottom part of the passenger side door trim (in beige)

The trunk and door lock parts and handles are the most important parts he needs. Don't worry about shipping overseas. I have an aunt in US and she will ship it with some other parts later.

Thanks for help!

Ok. Cool. I'd like to see if those would fit in my Fairmont. This vinyl has to go!

Found a 1990 SuperCoupe in my local pull-a-part with a complete, untouched engine and transmission (automatic)....shame I didn't have the time, manpower or money to yank the whole assembly at the time.
