Anybody else impressed with how fast this guy works? I mean Jeez, if this was my thread, it would have been months between updates... He's bustin' it out in days if not hours...

When you are ripped on blow it's amazing how fast you can work!  ;)

Haha! I'm a pen 15ehead because I work fast? I need to get the car done ASAP. Me and my wife have only one car right now and it's a PITA taking her and picking her up from work. It would be driving now had I not opted to change the cam and convert to 5-lug brakes, though.

I like the looks of those cop car wheels.  Keep the updates coming, this is going to be a neat cruiser when finished.

Looking good :).

No paint for the lower intake?
I missed this. No. Too much red as it is. I would paint the upper in aluminum, but have too much time in the intake plaque now. LOL!

Glad the P71 wheels worked out for you....looks sweet.

Wiring EEC4 isnt bad.  You only use 40 wires or so.

Got the motor and trans in. Hopefully I have enough weight in the car to get the struts bolted back up. LOL!

Getting the motor/trans in and modding the trans x-member was about all I got done today due to rain. Hoping to hit the ground running tomorrow.

Some new headers showed up today.

Ford racing stainless for "P" heads. After getting them in I see the column shift linkage is going to need some re-engineering or I need to find a floor shifter. I'm not even sure if a tbird/cougar linkage would work.

The other day I modified the gauge cluster with a mech water temp gauge. It fit perfectly where the factory buttstuffog clock was! I also added a mech oil pressure gauge on the bezel.

Nice work on the cluster. If you need to get a floor shifter, you're easiest find would be a '79-86 Mustang with a 4 or V6. Those all had C3s or C5s so it would be PRND21.

If the top stud on the passenger side ishiznitting the linkage just replace it with a bolt and nut. I have the same headers on my T-bird (column shifter) and that's what I did. It worked like a charm.
