dual exhaust question

Was the brace across the driveline tunnel really tight against your exhaust?  Mine is pressing pretty hard up against it

The brace on mine was taken off by the exhaust shop. Things have been fine without it for years.

Mine is removed also. I took it off and also removed the E brake cable from the pass side for more exhaust clearance.

Mine was mangled from the fork lift that loaded the Sport onto the flatbed to bring it to me. So was the exhaust and driveshaft. I don't miss it. Everything holds fine without it.

To my knowledge, single exhaust cars had the straight brace and dual exhaust cars had the bent brace.

I have the "bent" brace and 2.5" Flowtech Mustang mid pipes. They fit fine with about 1/2" of clearance between the pipes and brace.
