86 t-bird: The building is looking nice. I wish I could have built my own,...someday.

That 12X24 you have is a pretty stout building and a great size for one car, plus at $4,500 its a steal!

It's a great cost effective alternative until you can build your own.

The old line "All good things come in time" springs to mind...  Certainly true in my case!  Just didn't realize how much time it could take.

Some interesting shots of how steel beams are raised when there isn't access for a crane.

That's what I though too!

Thanks Gumby.  I think it'll be more interesting in a few weeks as the ceiling and roof joists get in place.  It's still difficult to see just what it's supposed to be...

A few more.  These show the 4'X4' access to the loft, the framed opening for the Bessler stair and little perspective of old wall vs new.

The old ceiling can be seen above the framed opening for the stair.  It gives a better visual on how much lower the new ceiling will be, adding head room to the loft.

Greg, Having seen your set up, I got a chuckle on that one!  It seems the hazard of more space is more stuff.  I've been warned and I'm still in denial.

It's comming along nicely! With you being in a historical area I'm sure you have alot of rules and regs. to follow. That would make it tough at times. I'd love to have a nice garage, I started by building a 13'x20' carport with a tarp roof then I tarped the sides. Little by little I've put a roof on it and added wood to the sides and covered it all with roll roofing. It's not pretty but it does the job.
