2011 Junkyard finds Reply #47 – October 27, 2011, 06:39:20 AM Can you grab corner lamps (with pigtails) and the rubber fender strips (just those small pieces around the corner lamps) for me, please? Maybe the cornering relays may be good for me too :).Thanks Quote Selected
2011 Junkyard finds Reply #48 – October 28, 2011, 12:29:00 AM wow...rust free and the Cougar still has the hubcaps! Looks like the red 83-84 was a Heritage. I'd love to see that much nice stuff around here again. Thanks for the pics. I'd be interested in an original 83 style wheel in case you come across one. Based on the condition of the cars in the pictures the wheels are probably straight and true! Quote Selected

2011 Junkyard finds Reply #50 – November 26, 2011, 08:08:57 PM Went to two junkyards today and only found a couple of new cars. The white Cougar was pretty loaded with dual power seats, leather, and a sunroof. Quote Selected

2011 Junkyard finds Reply #53 – November 28, 2011, 01:04:59 PM good god that yellow cougar is making me go blind.. lmao Quote Selected
2011 Junkyard finds Reply #54 – November 28, 2011, 08:07:18 PM I thought the white Cougar was an XR7 too because of the gauges and seats but it didn't have the sport steering wheel and it had the lower trim level door panels too. The grille was chrome too and I thought XR7s had body colored grilles. The yellow car was horrible. Its interior was spray painted white in a very sloppy manner. Quote Selected
2011 Junkyard finds Reply #55 – November 28, 2011, 09:56:47 PM I need a header panel to fit my 83 Cougar x-r7. Mine is butchered. Maine is a hard place to find anything! Quote Selected
2011 Junkyard finds Reply #56 – November 28, 2011, 10:17:21 PM Might be interested in the cluster from the white Cougar, if they don't want too much. It does look like it used to say Cougar XR7 on the decklid. Quote Selected
2011 Junkyard finds Reply #57 – November 29, 2011, 04:17:11 AM I don't plan on going back to the junkyard with the white Cougar. Its just too far (60+ mile round trip) to justify the trip for the 1 fox car they have. The first time I went there they had at least 10. I just wanted to go back there one more time before we move away from the land of rust free junk cars, lol. I do plan on going to the closer yard one more time before moving and last time I was there there was 2 V8 buttstuffog clusters (pics on page 4 of this thread.) I think they charge 30-35 bucks for a cluster.I didn't think they made XR7s in 83. They wouldn't have the stand up hood ornament, but there is the yellow 84 and a white 85-86 with intact header panels. I don't know how much they charge for body parts but it would probably get pretty expensive after shipping. I can check next time I am in that area if you want. Quote Selected

2011 Junkyard finds Reply #59 – December 05, 2011, 12:05:32 AM There hasn't been a Fox in the yard here in 6 or 7 months. I think the rust monster finally got the last of the beater ones...... Quote Selected
