v6 to v8 November 21, 2010, 02:35:49 PM ok guys i have an 87 with a v6 thats im puting a v8 out of an 88. the other day i seen that the harness that come out the fire wall on the driverside of the v6 87 have diff plugs and number and color of wires than my 88 v8 car doses. so what i need to know if any one can help is what do i need to go to make it work for me. i realy dont want to pull out the whole dash and switch the wireing to the v8 88 wireing. v6 to v8 Reply #13 – November 28, 2010, 11:54:41 PM Dash doesn't need to come out to get the puter harness out. The hardest part is the PCM Relay. Once that is loose, fish it out from the engine side. I did mine both ways this way (in and out) and my car has the dreaded climate control. Quote Selected
