Does Anybody Else Play Guitar?

I learned when I was 14, on an old Epiphone EA-250 my Dad gave me, after he and Mom got divorced. I fooled around with it when I was in High School, and could play enough to hang out with friends that played instruments. Then, I bought a Peavy Raptor 2, then I started driving a truck and never had very much time.

So, about six months ago, I bought an Epiphone DR-100 from Guitar Center. I've been doing refresher stuff, so I can re-learn what I'd learned, and it's been much fun. A couple of weeks ago, I put an Epiphone SG Special on lay-away at the local music store & got my wife's older boy a Fender Squire Stratocaster. He'll be taking lessons, has his first in a week.

Who Else dabs around with musical instruments, on the Fox T-Bird/Cougar forum?

I used to play bass. It was a lot of fun, I was in a band with my friends in highschool. We played some classic rock covers, a little metal. It was just for fun, we didn't get paid or anything. I ended up selling my gear to help fund my T-bird :D

I had a Kramer Focus-420S and a Marlboro B220 12 inch combo amp. Nothing special.

I don't play guitar.

I SHRED!!!!

No really, I've been playing casually since I was 14. Now I'm 21. I play pretty much all styles of rock, from Green Day to Ramstein. And some folksy blah.  I've got a DeArmond telecaster body knockoff, that was my first guitar that I learned on, and a Gibson acoustic.

I can also play bass, and actually enjoy playing bass more. Its more fun to me. Unfortunately all my money in the last few years has gone to cars, so I haven't actually picked up any new equipment. I would like to get and SG like you got, my friend has one and the tone is amazing. I love the way it sounds, and it looks pretty bad ass. I would like to get a bass sometime soon too.

I can also play bass

Bass is the top four strings of a regular guitar :p

I thought about buying one, but I'm digging 6-strings, right now.

yeah but its also like 30% bigger. Which is why I like it, since I'm 6'3" and that makes it fit easier for me.

Ohhh man if you lived closer.... I'd be in on this....  I record in my office on the computer. Not that great really. At all. But I would love to have a studio. One day I'm considering doing it for a living. Don't know where or how I would do that though.....

I got a quad processor G5 Mac for my studio, ,USB track controller, JBL monitors, roland midi keyboard, And racks of FXs...The funny thing is, I was a metal drummer by profession in the late 80s early 90s.
I'm teaming up with an old friend this winter to record an album.

Any bands we would know?

PS- You are my hero! Not too many people use both sides of their brain- IE- Technical/mechanical and artistic/musical. I wish I could play something (I know, just try...)
