The CP autox bird Reply #318 – March 06, 2013, 10:15:13 PM Got all the fenders flared out, and ready for additional width added. Still need to add roughly an inch to each fender.Down in the corner is where everything enters to rust out the area between the door and rear wheel well. It was open allowing stuff to enter there.Thoughts on the planned look? Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #319 – March 14, 2013, 10:42:06 PM Got all the flares widened. Still have to cut off the excess(getting some 1/8" fineline tape to get a straight line around the fender tomorrow) and weld in a stiffening rod around the edge since it doesn't appear I have enough room to make the lip around them like I was hoping. It'll still look good though.Put out in the sun to get an idea what the bogarts will look like at a distance with 23.5x12x16 r35 hoosier slicksOld wheels with 2" wheel spacers to find where the outer edge of the fender should be with 335/35/17's Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #321 – March 15, 2013, 02:24:34 AM Nice! But you should widen the whole side of the car imo. Would look killer!Go with the E30 M3 look where the widening starts at that body line that goes along the whole car. That would be really cool! Typical 80's look :) Quote Selected

The CP autox bird Reply #323 – March 15, 2013, 07:23:54 PM Definitely not doing the entire side of the car. I'm trying to get rid of weight on this car, not add it. The only reason I added here was because I wanted the tires to be covered. The gain of over an inch of tire tread is worth the couple of pounds it did to do it. Quote Selected
The CP autox bird Reply #324 – April 01, 2013, 11:28:32 PM Been a while. Still don't know if I'm going to be done by the first local event on April 21 or not.
