I bet the engine makes somewhere between 325-350hp without the turbo. Most 302, GT40 intake, Twisted Wedge 170/Edelbrock Performer/AFR 165 headed cars make in that range.Well, anything over 250 N/A would be pretty nice since I have the power adder for when I want more. All I have to do is press harder on the gas! Quote Selected

1988 TC single Holset turbo 5.0/ 4R70W Reply #1115 – August 14, 2014, 10:03:02 AM It's doing well. I had to replace the O2 sensor. I used break in additive with lead in it and it took out the sensor. Otherwise no issues to speak of. I am needing a pick-up truck, so I am going to advertise the Tbird this fall.I hate to sell it, but I need to cull the herd a bit for garage space. I still have a couple little things to do to it before I sell it. Nothing big, just detail stuff. It really runs good. I'm happy with it. Quote Selected

1988 TC single Holset turbo 5.0/ 4R70W Reply #1120 – August 24, 2014, 06:25:14 PM I built a circuit detailed in the megamanual that takes an input pulse from MS and turns it into a 'dirty' negative pulse that the tach can use. Since I am using a 4 cylinder tach, I used a handy divider in MS that cuts the generated pulse by 2 from the V8 signal. The tach needs to see a big spike to read, so just using the MS signal isn't enough by itself. You must add a relay coil to pulse to ground to get enough to read. I have built 3 of these and they all have worked well and reliably. They are noisy htough. If you put it in the cabin you will hear it clicking. Quote Selected
