Pics of my (clean) bird May 13, 2009, 03:45:00 PM OK, the sun came out, and I washed the car. It was its first bath in nearly two years (having spent most of that time in the garage). Here's the clean pics I promised. While washing I noticed I got my first door ding, on the passenger door. You can see it below the mirror in the first pic, right on the crease Thankfully it will be covered when the trim goes back onYou'll have to forgive the hazy spot on this photo, the camera lens had a smudge on it: Quote Selected

Either that or park it at the deepest darkest remotest end of the parking lot and put felt ropes around it. I think the car looks nekkid without the trim anyway :DQuote from: thunderjet302;272101Purdy :DYou need to clean your wheel wells More accurately, I need to paint 'em. A few years ago I drove on some wet highway paint (while avoiding potholes... yes, they were painting a potholed road) and covered the inside of the wheel wells on the right side with white flecks and the driver's side with yellow flecks. The mud flaps that used to be on the car thankfully prevented the paint from getting anywhere else. There's also the overspray in the rear wheel wells from when I painted it. I've been thinking of doing them with rhino liner or something like that...Quote from: vinnietbird;272113Great looking car.You can get a personalized tag that says "FRIDGE".If vanity plates weren't so expensive ($160 initially, PLUS the $190 standard plate fee, PLUS an $80/year "maintenance" fee, PLUS the $190/every two years standard plate fees) I'd have 'em on this thing. We're only allowed seven characters, so I'd likely get "JUS4KIX" or "UP2TRIX", two user names I used to use online years ago Quote Selected
Pics of my (clean) bird Reply #6 – May 13, 2009, 10:32:45 PM WOW !!!! That's a lot of money for plates.$24.00 here, plus the $24.00 my plate already costs. Quote Selected

Not sure why. It does look really nice all cleaned up. Quote Selected

That's what I did and it's held up fine for 7 years Quote Selected

Have been straying away from tire wet lately though. Its a lot of extra work in the long run and makes my paint look like shiznit. Its bad when tires look better than paint.I usually spray my tank and frame rail too. Dirty, dull undercoating is really ugly Quote Selected

Pics of my (clean) bird Reply #13 – May 14, 2009, 05:03:18 PM Looks awfully plain, I think it needs a pinstripe or two. Quote Selected
