Picked up an '84 GT turbo four shell today.

not sure what too do with it.  was originally planning to hack the rails out for the wifes T-top Capri resto, but I think it would be a shame to hack a car in this clean of shape....  should I throw it together and turn it into a nice street car? or track car?  or chop it and s the remains?  I have a complete and running parts car comming this week to swap everything into....

Dayum, that thing is in good shape underneath. Is it bent? Both front door-to-fender gaps look way off.

Mustang guys would probably cry to think that car would be cut up. To me, it'd just be way too much work to put back together.

That car is too nice to be hacked up as a donor for something else...

At least that's my opinion.

Do not hack that car up.  Build it yourself, or pass it on to some one that will.  There was an 83/84 Turbo four car local that I had to pass on for $300.  near made me cry.  I can only hope that went to someone who put a T-4 back into like my son and I wanted to.

OMG. it flash back to last year of cleaning out the wrecking yard(big shop).
i did that to 7 of my 1979 to 88 mustang shells after i parted what i wanted off them.
remember it easier to fix them, than to find them after they been crushed.

The gaps are way off because the front clip isnt bolted on.

I want to cut up a car....

I dont think I could bring myself to do it unless it was wrecked. Even if it didnt have a title I think I would try and build a drag car.

Well I HIGHLY doubt that will happen here if he keeps it together.

It looks really clean especially since there is no undercoat and how bad the salt seems to be for you. I say keep it and build it. It looks like a really nice base.

Pull the engine and trans out of the TC and reassemble the gt as it was,a turbo 4.
Put the 5.0HO you always wanted to in the TC,done deal.

Great plan.  That's what I'd do.  But then again, I have a surplus of Turbo-4 drivetrains around the homestead.  Please tell me the drivetrain is coming out of a wrecked/unsalvagable TC though.
