Reunited with an old car...

Well ITS BACK!!!!  not yet but it will be tomorrow if the weather is decent.....

I traded the car last summer for a 1994 3.8L 5 speed Mustang, after the fuel pump died and the tow truck driver fried the tranny on me....  turned out the stang wasnt in good shape at all... (though I made it look great in the pics) and I regretted giving up on the rust free bird....  well the kid finally decided to sell it back to me.  Even though he vowed to s it before I ever got it back (guess he has been having non stop issues with it since he got it and thinks I sold him a lemon...) so I just sold my sled tonight and am getting my baby back....  I cant wait.:shakeass: :burnout:

The car may have some gremillins but I intend to sort them out and give the bird its dues....

The Car is a 1991 5.0L HO Thunderbird.  in MINT condition..  0 Rust!  good luck finding one this nice around here....  they are ALL rotted...  there are some rare SC's that got saved from winters but not many...

The tranny and fuel pump and many more parts have been replaced, along with alot more that I intend to change...

For the pics of all the parts I still have laying around for it, back when I had it the first time (and more of the car itself)

Ahhh yes. I remember this car. It looks like you have alot of good parts still. I really like the hood you made. I dont think I ever saw it on.

I have to tell you though I was disappointing when I opened this. I really thought it was the Blue Bird

I said it the first time you posted about that car and I'll say it again: That car gives me the willies. Looks too much like my '91, and based on this thread it behaves about as well, too...

i was driving a 95 cougar there for a while. what a piece of . the 4.6 is pr0ne to start knocking at any time, no torque, the doorhandles love to break, the sunroof kept me soaked, and the door hinges sagged. it was tastic.

I wish I still had my 94'. That car was very sweet. Never had any issues, and it had every option available, including the ground effects and sunroof. Had about 120,000+ when the ex ended up with it.

Ah how we all love the Mn-12s ;) I'm thinking about trading mine in for a Marauder.....

Glad you got the car back. If I had a 5.0 MN-12 I might like mine better.....

My 94' lx has been great! It has 214,000 on the original trans and 4.6
and the trans. is now just starting to slip. since I've had it I've put 23,000 on it with only having to replace the starter.

My '92 Sport was a good car, but modding it was aggravating. They're best left mostly stock.

That bird is NICE!  is that trim along the doors from a newer style?

I have a nice set of SC rims here that I have to put on mine.  just gotta get some rubber.  although Im thinking about converting to stang bolt pattern...

Just did some checking and the headgaskets are shot, so I will be pulling the motor soon and swapping in a 5.0L and AOD from an '89 Mustang GT.

Then I will throw 4.10 in it and have some fun.  Thinking about swapping the SC M5R2 tranny in too....
